For me this movie has a special place I actually lived in Mena where this all took place and even though I lived there way after it made so much sense about the town after I watched great movie Tom cruze killed it

Tom Cruise does not disappoint.

It's a TOM CRUISE movie. What else needs to be said? Good story, but not one of his best. However, it is an entertaining DVD.

An appropriately puffy Cruise is fine as a greedy, conceited Good Time Charlie who ignores the common sense rule that if it seems too good to be true it probably is. "I maybe shoulda asked more questions" he muses — a little too late. A talented pilot with a yen for adventure and an eye for an easy buck, he's offered him his own plane, private hangar and runway to ferry cargo to and from Latin America and take some recon photos on the side by a purported CIA agent. Pretty soon Tom is involved in drug smuggling, gun running, chummy relations with Columbia drug cartel kingpins and more. He's wealthy beyond his wildest dreams. What could go wrong? Loosely based on fact, who knows how much is true, but does it matter? Do not expect "Mission Impossible" style action and stunts — this "hero" is a far cry from Ethan. At almost 2 hours the movie is way too long and becomes repetitive and rather tedious with jokes and aerial shots held onto forever. Still, on the whole it's very enjoyable, not great but lots of fun.
