Surprised
(Just a heads up this is the old style yellow light bulbs!) I bought this because I wanted an incandescent light for 100 cri and it is pretty bright compared to any 2 cell ligh even brighter than a 2d Maglite. Ofc it pales against any led light, but if for any reason you ever want an incandescent light then this is the one I'll recommend the most.

Well built, not overly bright
This flashlight is well made as Maglights have always been, but it’s not very bright compared to most LED flashlights this size. It’s fine for short range use, maybe 10 feet or so, but that’s about it. If you need it to change a tire, great. But not bright enough to be a spotlight.

NOT LED!
The description states it is an LED flashlight, but it is NOT! Yes it is going back. I saw that others had complained about getting other than LED flashlight when ordering this flashlight. So who is doing the bait and switch here? Probably a great flashlight. it is a Maglite. So i ordered directly from Maglite and even with 2nd day shipping, I am paying less per flashlight and I'll bet I get what I order. Did I mention that it is going back!

Uses C batteries.
Much smaller than regular maglite. Good size and weight, runs on C batteries. Love it.

Not Very Bright
Even with new batteries, this flashlight was not that bright. The light has a yellow tint and there is a dark spot in the center of the beam. Returned.

I needed a bright beam
It's not as bright as I thought it would be and when it's on it has a dark spot in the center of the beam, I ordered the LED conversion kit hoping it'll be brighter. It is a tough flashlight and Maglite has always been top notch.
