I ordered these to replace the factory one that rusted to death nd would not work anymore, seems to be holding up pretty well we will see over a few more months if it rusts out. It was easy to install and they seem to perform better then the ones that came on our 5th wheel originally, time will tell but happy with the price and quality for now.

There's a lot of debate about the screw hole spacing, it's 3/4". Technically it's a hair over at .766", but effectively 3/4". They were a direct fit on my '85 Itasca Sundowner by WInnebego and they'll probably be a direct fit for anything with metal latches, the ones I've seen seem to all be the same size.The base, spring, and pin are all stainless, don't know what grade, but they're non-magnetic. The construction is surprisingly good; the bends, cuts, and fit are all nice. The latch part itself is some kind of casting, it's pretty hard and doesn't appear to be plated so possibly also stainless and it's a very nice casting. For $3.20ea. in the 5 pack it seems like a great deal, and cheaper than the flimsy plastic ones I was first looking at.The downside to a sturdy latch is that if someone tries to force something shut without unlatching it, or crazy winds hit while something's latched open, it could cause damage to your RV. I'm going to replace the short factory screws that engage the skin of the RV with longer thinner ones that only engage the wood structure beneath the skin to minimize the chance of damage.

Had to replace the plastic door restraints because I forgot to release them before shutting the door. These work great and are every sturdy. Very easy to install and operate. The stainless construction will out last the camper. Very pleased and highly recommend.
