End of an Era
Where to begin? Grayson James and Violet Artinos….Violet Artinos and Grayson James…..VIOLET AND GRAYSON….GRAYSON! VIOLET! Okay, now that I am finished shouting (spoiler alert: I am not in fact finished shouting)…. *takes a deep breath*Liars and Liaisons is a book about what happens to people caught between destruction and creation. Grayson James is a brilliant and agoraphobic artist set down a path of vengeance in the hopes that snuffing out the light of others will reignite his own. Violet Artinos has spent her whole life trying to do the right thing in the aftermath of others’ choices. Violet is a mirrorball girlie and a pathological people pleaser (IYKYK). It’s hard to figure out who you are when you are always in the shadow of others and their demands of you.In the pantheon of Monsters and Muses, this is the finale. This is, in my opinion, the most situationally intense of all 6 books. Take the trigger warnings seriously. This is also, in my humble opinion, the most stunningly descriptive book of Sav’s to date. I mean, THE POETRY! And not just in setting the scene and painting us a picture from a sensory perspective, I am also talking about THE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF GRAYSON JAMES’S MOUTH! L&L is a dual POV between our two main characters and the things this man thinks and says about Violet are literal poetry, overflowing with artistic and colorful imagery. Frankly I wish he had said more of them out loud TO VIOLET rather than just thought some of them because I would have loved to have seen her reaction to them as part of their relationship arc. Regardless, the dichotomy between the beauty he creates with his thoughts and words against the backdrop of the chaos he causes is gripping. It is a war you cannot look away from, even when the pain and carnage is terrifying. I found myself rooting for the artist while screaming at the man.I cannot even get into the amount of highlights I made. It is several hundred. I am not sorry, and I will not apologize. Violet had some fantastic sassy moments along her journey of self-discovery. We got to watch her and her naturally nurturing spirit forge a whole backbone from steel in this book. A sunflower doesn’t grow in a day, and Grayson’s existence turned out to be just what the garden needed. Also, I think Grayson might be Sav’s funniest male lead, which was a delightful surprise especially coupled with his sweet gestures in between the more *extreme* ones. The references and nods to the mythological source material Sav sprinkled throughout this book are lovely and I always enjoy her attention to detail.Let’s talk twists. THEY ARE NUMEROUS! (See, I told you I was not done shouting). Listen, this is Sav’s world. I expect unhinged. BUT SOME OF THE TWISTS were out there so buckle up. This book had a thriller quality more so than the rest of the series and if anything I wanted MORE. This is a spoiler free review so I can’t give much more than that. Now for spice. L&L is CLASSIC Sav! And what do I mean by that? I mean it is unhinged. If you have read any of Sav’s other books set in this world, you know she is not afraid to push us readers into darker spaces and plots. I’ve been around the block and even I needed a breather at some parts. L&L is a slower burn for on-the-page action; however the payoff was worth it. On another note (see what I did there), let’s just say, as an Academy Award-winning musician and composer, Grayson is masterful with his hands and I will never look at a certain “grand” musical instrument the same way again.THE EPILOUGE! THAT IS HOW YOU END A SERIES, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I am still thinking about it because it was so perfectly satisfying. The audacity of Sav to be so kind to all of us readers. There are also nicknames, PLURAL, by the way.Sav titled this series Monsters and Muses for a reason. The name she chose was a promise and one on which she certainly delivered. Congratulations to the end of an era, Sav.

Dark, tension filled romance
4.5 starsIt was nice being in Violet's head after hearing about her so much in previous books. There were times where she definitely made me angry, she didn't make the best choices, but overall I did like her.Grayson was completely unhinged and I think that was my favorite thing about him. He wanted Violet from the second he laid eyes on her. Violet was his older brother's ex-girlfriend and the minute he had the chance, he took her for himself. There was so much tension between these two, I loved it. The spice was good and also very dark with blood-play and lots of dirty talk. I really loved these two as a couple even outside the bedroom though. There was a lot more suspense than I was expecting. Grayson's house kind of creeped me out and his family was more unhinged than he was in worse ways. I definitely didn't see the twist at the end coming. One of my favorite things about this book were the cameos from Riley and Aiden. I also loved the Kal appearances and how he finally got some closure in the end. I was also here for the moments with just Grayson and Kal, I think those two as friends would be hilarious.I'm sad this is the sixth and final book of this series. I'm going to miss it so much, but I think this was the perfect way to end it.Thank you so much to Sav. R. Miller and Valentine PR for the arc!

• hooked from the beginning •
| dark romance | dual POV | age gap | virgin | masquerade | sunshine x grump | he fell first | muse | standalone | interconnected characters | family trauma | antihero | morally grey | kinky | SPICY | dirty talker | YUM | mafia ties |An amazing ending to an excellent dark romance series. I did not come into this fully invested as I am not the biggest fan of rockstar romances or music career related characters. It’s something i’ve read several of and it’s hard to find unique story lines that are fulfilling to me.This book hooked me from the very beginning though. This was very much a dark romance, so check your trigger warnings. All the masks and mystery intrigued me to the point that I couldn’t put the book down.Sav R. Miller did not disappoint on the spice in this one. The smut was SMUTTING. I mean, I’m ready to turn this thing over and give it another go. Grayson was just so *YUM*, his dirty talk was toe curling to say the least. This was an excellent dark romance series.Like i’ve stated in a previous review the storylines are standalone, but the characters of all the stories in this series overlap and continue to remain relevant in the later books. I absolutely adore this. It’s something I knew I liked, but after reading this 6 book series, it’s something I now know I want to continuously see in standalone series.Happy Reading Friends xx

What a book!
This book is in my top 3 of the series! If people had to ask me what my favourite moment of the book was, I would say the entire book. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. And when the book ended, I cried because I realized the series had ended and we wouldn’t get another book.Grayson and Violet are the ultimate couple. These two challenged each other in so many ways and the way their relationship developed was beautiful. I loved the way Violet blossomed while I love the way Grayson came out of his shell.Ever since I finished reading this book, I have been in a massive book hangover.

The final conclusion
The final book is always bittersweet, saying goodbye to a series that has been such a fav of mine. Started with kal and ending with his sister's story, a complete circle. This book was dark, depraved and so good. MMC obsessed with the fmc and the drama!! A fantastic read, now I am off to buy the physical copies of the series!

An amazing final book
Ugh well my heart is completely shattered that the M&M series is over. I've fallen in love with characters, hated characters, and cried for their stories. Grayson and Violet were no different. I loved Violet from our first meeting in P&P, and have been waiting for her story to be told. This did not disappoint in the mixture of gory devastation and heady relationships. The perfect finale, wrapping up each book. Thank you for these Sav. They mean more to me than you know.

Epic finale
I seriously didn’t think that this series could get even better but here we are. The last book of the Monster and Muses series is perfection, an epic ending of an awesome dark romance series 🖤We already met Violet in previous books. She is Kal‘s sister and cousin of Cora. She is a runaway girl who never settles down, always looking for the next gig to get money. One day she meets Grayson James, the brother of her ex boyfriend. Grayson became quickly very infatuated with her and wants to keep her in his life. A good thing he has a lot of money and she is a desperate girl with a lot of debt…Grayson impersonated the Monster in this novel perfectly. He is super grumpy and thinks he is slowly loosing his mind. His mansion in Duris is haunted and people disappear after his parties. The James family is notorious for their fame but also dark secrets.I was hooked on this book after a few pages.Violet struggles with her family and the fact that Kal is her brother. She wants to keep him a secret because his reputation precedes him. While he wanted to form a bond for years, she always rejected him. I loved Violet instantly. I understood her feelings, and I loved that she seemed like a sunshine but has dark and twisted parts of her own. She is the perfect fit for Grayson. Once you read this book, you will notice how perfectly the cover fits the story. Violet is Graysons muse, while he is her monster who offers her an escape. She can be raw with him and experience Lust, passion, love and freedom. I can’t even describe how much I loved them together.Sav R. Miller has become an auto buy author for me. Her writing has improved throughout the entire series. It’s hard to describe but this book is full of poetic things and I loved the dark atmosphere. The writing was just so gripping, so raw and melodic. I am baffled how much the writing style fit the characters. The characters are captivating, the story is dark, bloody and gripping. The love story was perfectly executed because it felt rather like a slow burn. The chemistry between Grayson and Violet is off the charts. He was so obsessed with her but never pushed her. He waited for her to grow feelings solely for him and not his brother. He might have used some dirty tricks, but his feelings very genuine and he tried to make things right in the end. Their romance was epic! The spice was hot.Grayson is just so unhinged and morally grey. His struggles with music felt so reel and haunting. He is a true poet and the way he became more and more in love with Violet was swoon worthy. Another man added to my bookboyfriend list.I also have to mention my favorite man of the series Alistair who is still obsessed with the color blue and matches everything to his girlfriend Cora. The epilogue completely broke me. I got attached to these characters and now it’s time to say goodbye. It’s a bittersweet feeling. It was such a captivating series with broken and morally grey characters. I am completely obsessed and can’t wait for her next book (series). I highly recommend the entire Monster and Muses series! This is dark romance exactly how I love it! And frankly this series has the most gorgeous covers I own.I’m sitting in a corner now waiting for the next epic ride by Sav R. Miller!
