Columbia Women's Kyra Vent II Strap Sandal

I love these sandals because they are soft and lightweight and yet support my high arch. Also the straps allow me to adjust them as needed which is necessary since I broke my foot and ankle a few years ago and that foot is still slightly larger than the other foot. Surprisingly The eight in this sandal fits both feet perfect which is great especially since I usually wear 8 1/2. Also I have spent $130 on many Ecco sandals but I find these lesser expensive Columbia sandals to be lighter and more flexible and yet still supportive and they also propell me forward. Great find. The straps are different than other similar sandals but once you get them adjusted they are fine.

Overall these are very nice sandals. They were comfortable from the first wearing, no need to break them in. The size was just right, they're wide enough in the front, which is something I sometimes have problems with in shoes, and the length is perfect. They're very lightweight which is nice.The main drawback is that the strap around the heel is too long and when I tighten them enough to keep them secure on my heel only about a third of the velcro overlaps. It leaves a long strap at the end which curls out. I think they'll work OK in spite of that. I'm going to try putting a small piece of stick-on velcro near the end of the strap to keep it from sticking out. These would have been much better if they had positioned the velcro properly on the heel strap. If I close the heel strap as it appears it should go, my heel would have to hang over the back edge of the shoe for the strap to fit snugly against my heel.

These are very nice shoes. The padding is very nice. The straps have held up very well. I "dont have time" to strap my shoes every time I take them on or off but instead just shove my foot into them and pull the back strap over my heel. They have survived two summers of me doing that at least once a day. They also held up well white water rafting and diving off a raft into a river. They make squishy sounds when wet. So all in all they have been worth the money for me and I would buy them again.

I purchased these to replace a pair of Columbia sandals that I've worn for far too long. I like this pair but I don't love them.They fit as expected and they are really comfortable. My feet aren't great so comfort is my main concern when purchasing shoes. These did not let me down. I've worn them out walking for several hours at a time with no issues.There was no need for a breaking in period for the straps. I experienced no spots where the straps were scratchy or chafing.There were some issues with the sizing of the straps. The heel strap seemed too long. However I was able to play around with the heel and ankle strap and found a mix that worked fine.A walk through a creek left the soles waterlogged and had me "squish squash"ing down the trail. It was annoying (my previous pair didn't do this.) But they dried out quick enough.Overall this is a decent pair of outdoor sandals that get high marks for comfort.

I've been looking for these sandals for years. I had a similar pair back in 2010 that I loved, can't say for sure what happened to them, but I couldn't find anything like them until these. I wear a size 10 and my feet are average width to perhaps slightly wide. They fit perfect and feel great. I was a bit wary considering all the negative reviews on the straps but I've had no issues with them. We're going on a 2 week camping roadtrip to several national parks and I imagine these will hold up great to all the hiking.

While the sole feels sturdy enough to hike hilly and rocky trails, the straps do not. I do not feel as secure in these as compared to other columbia sandals (which I could not find any more so I do not know the style).. partly due to the straps being too long, and partly due to the straps feeling flimsy. I normally wear size 7-7.5 so I ordered the 7. My feet are otherwise average to slightly wide. The bottom part fits perfect, any smaller and my toes would be sticking out over the end. However, the straps are way too long. I have them as tight as the velcro will allow and they are still not snug enough. Because there is so much strap hanging off the end, it is starting to curl making them look funny. The rings that connect the straps can also turn sideways, making the straps even longer. I have enjoyed Columbia in the past, but I cannot recommend these based on my experience.

These shoes fit well, they are comfortable and look very nice on my feet, the reason I gave them 3 stores is because I don't like the cloth tape/ribbon that hold the shoes on, it is very thin and I don't think they will hold up like the ones I replaced that I had worn for several years. I hope they will last me a while.

I absolutely love these. I can wear them all day and be comfortable whether at home or out walking. This is not the first pair of Columbia sandals that I have owned. The last pair I bought I steal wear and they are already on their 4th year of wearing. They really are built to last. These are the best sandals I have ever owned. I wish I could purchase them locally in Georgia, but I am happy that I can find them online. I will definitely continue to purchase this brand.
