These are great for snack foods like cakes, biscuits, crisps Etc . Light and durable and ideal for picnics, Would not recommend using sharp knives or forks as have only used food that does not require sharp cutlery.

Yes, these are light weight which is important in a Caravan, Motorhome, Camper, Camping situation but on my first use I found that the plastic is not hard wearing and easily scored. My plate, used only twice for a fry up breakfast showed scoring from my knife when cutting up the sausages and bacon. In my opinion this is a hygiene problem. Washing up when "Camping" is always a bit hit and miss, couple that with scoring that is difficult to clean and can harbour dangerous food poisoning bacteria and you are heading for trouble. Now used I cannot return the set to Amazon but I will be replacing it with something more robust or just go back to using cheap earthenware plates and accept they will get broken. As for the weight I will just leave one bottle of Gin at home to compensate.

We always seem to be running out of plates and the Mrs is somewhat accident prone, not to mention the little ones. So i decided to pick up something that will be a bit tougher.These arrive in a large sealed cardboard box which ironically says "fragile" which gave me a little chuckle. It's ok though they are very tough and durable and can easily withstand being dropped and knocked off of surfaces. On arrival i put them through the dishwasher at 60 degrres C and they came out nice and clean. So should be dishwasher safe.... If you do a higher temp you may have issues.The box contains 12 plates, 4 dinner sized plates, 4 side plates (suitable for a sandwhich), and 4 tea plates(suitable for a cup or a few biscuits). They are coloured; bright green (my favourite), orange, yellow, dark green/blue. There's one of each colour for each size of plate. So you get a nice matching set. This is great for kids as they can pick their favourite colour. We found that if you serve kids a food they're not so keen about on their fav colour plate they are more likely to eat it without debate.The plates are quite thick and sturdy. They're not flimsy at all and can easily deal with a large meal.The only negative i can say id that the dark colour shows up scuffs and cutlery marks easily. The bright colours look vibrant and hide any marks really well.Good quality and value. Recommended. These will outlast the rest of our plates by a few years. Thank you for reading my review. I like these plates! They're cute, colourful, lightweight, sturdy, and don't break easily. They are microwave and dishwasher safe which is fantastic because you can use them for everyday use. However, they do scratch easily though. The sizes of these plates are great, too – perfect to fit dinner, snacks or sandwiches for kids who need more than just a spoonful of food at a time or adults who like having things served in small portions throughout the day instead of one big meal at night. Washed and started using them right away! Microwaved some food for 7 minutes (900w) and no signs of the plate warping or melting. Can't taste the plastic at all, and no clinking sound like on stoneware plates. (Had to switch over because I kept breaking those.) Used a common silverware knife (not a steak knife) and haven't seen any scratches so far. Seems like a solid purchase! ✨(I'm using them seasonally - three plates in the same color at a time - so right now the light green color is in use; for springtime haha.)
