A quick difference
I've only had this product for 2 weeks but I can feel a difference in my hair. This is a great product.

Amazing!
My hair had been feeling super dry and I was looking for something to help with making it softer. You can’t go wrong with this product. I feel like it worked really well for my hair. My hair type is more on the thin side and it really helped with making it appear like I had a bit more shine and moisture to it.

This stuff does what it promises and it's vegan friendly
My hair has thee biggest attitude right now and this stuff is helping to tame it into submission until I figure out the root problem. Even my hairdresser thought it might be helping my dry split hair.A little about my hair, I am 50, my hair is natural and is 75/80% gray and 20/25% gray. I have sparce hair but it has a lot of body and looks like I have more than I do. My individual hair strands are not thick, and are relatively thin. I am unable to use any oil products in my hair because they don't penetrate the hair shaft they just sit on top. As of late my hair has been falling out at alarming rates due to I believe sciatica issues and high intake of motrin.I will tell you I did not like it at first and did not see anything until 4th week, I used it once a week and I had to use in shower not bath.I don't know why, maybe I wasn't rinsing completely in bath but it works better in shower.Side note, I also switched to bar soap and conditioner so I would use this in place of conditioner, I tried doing both once and my hair was greasy.

Saved My Hair—Like, Actually
This hair mask is the real deal. My ends were dry, frizzy, and honestly just sad—but after using Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! once a week, my hair feels softer, smoother, and way more manageable. It smells amazing (clean and fresh without being too strong), and the texture is super creamy without weighing my hair down. I leave it on for about 10–15 minutes and rinse, and it instantly makes my hair feel like I just left a salon.Bonus: it’s clean and cruelty-free, which makes me feel even better about slathering it all over my head. Total game-changer for damaged or color-treated hair.

So far just an average product.
So far I haven't gotten any of the luxurious softness or sheen that I have been hoping for. I know you have to use it several times for it to really work so I'm working on it but as of right now it is just an average product nothing to write home about.

Follow instructions.
After 10 minutes by hair was stronger and quite shiny. If i left it on any longer, i would have experienced protein overload. It's an effective hair mask. I have 4a hair.

Don’t Despair vs Soul Food
I have fine, blonde hair that I have highlighted twice a year for a natural sun kissed look and I live in an area with hard water. I have a water softener and filter and I am on a constant search for the best conditioner for my hair because it always feels tangly. I have tried so many different brands over the years recommended by stylists and on my own (Oribe, Living Proof, Amika Soul Food, Fakkai Mask, Olapkex and many, many more). I stumbled upon Fekkai’s masks on a trip in Alaska because my hair was extra, super dry there and fell in love with how amazing my hair felt. Then during the pandemic in 2020 they stopped making it then rereleased it and the ‘new formula’ is horrible! So I retried both Oribe masks and they were terribly drying. I tried Amika Soul Food and it smells great and is the best I have found so far. After reading reviews, I thought I’d try Don’t Dispair to see if it could make my hair happy like Fekkai used to but it’s a hard NOPE. If your hair is fine like mine, don’t waste your money. This stuff is thin and watery. I would not even classify it as a mask. It is weak and made my hair very, very dry and stiff. I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes and also overnight plus the regular use , like a conditioner since I spent the money I was hoping it would work for something but it’s going to my boys or the trash. The Olaplex 5 is much more of a mask than this stuff. For reference, I currently use Olaplex shampoo(4), Condtioner (5) and Olaplex 3 and I alternate in Amika Soul Food and Olaplex 5 as my conditioner. I also use Fanola No Yellow once a week mixed with Olaplex 3 to keep out any gold or brassy tones. I hope this review saves someone who has hair like mine from spending money on this. Try Soul Food. It’s thick and smells nice and will make your hair feel much softer than Don’t Despair. Don’t Despair is like using a drug store brand so save your money. Look elsewhere.
