GREAT WEIGHT & SHARP
This meat cleaver is pretty cool looking. It is a fantastic weight. The edges of it are slightly rounded up. It is very sharp and has no problems going right through a whole chicken. It has a hole so you can hang it up. I like the textured look of it. I have found it works really good on the large hard vegetables also. It is well made and a very nice quality.

Now THIS is a knife!
I'm super impressed with the heft of this knife. It's got a great sharp blade and I love the pattern in metal. I can definitely see how it'll be integral to our kitchen as we don't have anything nearly as formidable.It's quite a knife and I can only say I'm happy that my wife loves me. (I hope.)

Good quality
I really like this cleaver! First time buying one, and it’s not as intimidating as I thought. There is definitely weight to it, but not too heavy. It’s also really sharp! Safe handling was accounted for with the packaging, which is appreciated. Recommended purchase!

Great chefs knife!
This is a great chefs knife for the at home chef.Presentation upon delivery was great and it chops so well! I have wanted one of these for a while and glad I went with this one. The weight is nice- not too heavy and not so light that you feel like you don’t have control.

Chinese slicing cleaver, is a little heavy but features a very sharp Stainless blade
The media could not be loaded. I've had an interest in knives for many years. I have a pretty good collection of high-end collectables of various sizes and styles that I have for display. And in our kitchen, we have a good set of working knives mostly from German and Japanese manufacturers that we use every day. While browsing the web I came across this Chinese cleaver which seemed interesting to me.To begin with I totally mis-understood the use of the Chinese cleaver. I thought it was used for preparing meat including the cutting and chopping of tendons, cartilage and bone. Turns out this is totally wrong for this cleaver. Chinese slicing cleavers are used more like a chef's knife for preparing vegetables and slicing meat but definitely no bone cutting, hacking or chopping.These Chinese cleavers are meant to be sharp, agile and not too heavy in your hands. Used for the same applications as my standard chef's knives and Santoku's - only a having different shape, balance point and a lot heavier.This slicing cleaver has a total length of 12 1/2" long. The blade, manufactured from 5Cr15 stainless steel, features a full-length tang double riveted through the handle for maximum strength. For amateur cooks this stainless provides good toughness to resist chipping and cracking and a high level of corrosion resistance. I like that it is relatively easy to sharpen to a very high level of sharpness.The blade is 7 7/8" L x 3 3/4" wide. And is a little less than 2.5 mm thick. It comes in the box very sharp.The handle grips are made from natural wood that has flat sides with relieved edges and a slightly curved shaped end to end. It is 4 5/8" long x 7/8" W and the bolsters (where the handle meets the blade) are comfortably tapered to allow a pinching grip for better control. (Thumb and forefinger pinching the blade between them just in front of the handle). I have medium sized hands and this handle with its curved shape and medium width feels comfortable to me. It probably could be a little shorter.The Cleaver weighs about 15.1 ounces. This weight feels a little heavy in my hand and will affect the responsiveness of the cleaver when I'm trying to do some delicate slicing. This is something I'll have to feel and experience.This Chinese cleaver meets the descriptions, images and specifications given on the webpage. This is a very economically priced knife that has a couple detractions but overall, I am very happy with what I've received. This is a perfect starting point for me to experience this type of blade and new slicing techniques without investing a large amount of money. However, from the short time I've owned it, I'm impressed with the quality, design and look of the blade. It's solidly made and finished to a very high level.

Very sturdy heavy knife..Very sharp as well..
Ordered this knife specific to tenderize steaks and chicken..Didn't expect it to be this study and sharp. Am very pleased with the product. Ordered the knife sharpener kit as well separately for this and my other cutting utensils. The grip works well for both smaller and larger hands.

Chef’s cleaver
I’d like to say that I liked it but it never showed up. Waited for weeks and weeks. Nice looking knife, bad customer service on the part of the vendor. Not Amazon’s fault as they did what they could. Don’t buy from this vendor.

Good quality knife
The knife is good quality. It is heavy and substantial. This is the kind of knife I was looking for to chop herbs and garlic. I use it for mincing. I watch a cooking show that uses a similar knife for this purpose. Very satisfied.
