They are ok, but not really like in the videos
I've seen videos of people opening gifts and the butterflies pop out and fly for a moment while the dazzled gift receiver smiles. Mine kinda flopped around for a sec and didn't get airborne. They are surprisingly difficult to pack into a gift in a way that will get that cool effect. Plus, they are pretty flimsy. Would not buy again.

Worked better than I thought!
I use these for my dyslexic students. I put them in the last page of a book and on that last page...surprise! I find you have to wind them really tight, like 40-50 times. I you hold it upright, they can fly really high. Love em!

Fun butterfly
These are so much fun. Love putting them in greeting cards. The tighter you wind, the more they fly. This is my 2nd batch and will keep purchasing.

Not a toy, just a surprise
These butterflies are cute to put in a greeting card or book to surprise/scare someone. They are reusable. But are not a good toy. They are difficult to wind up for young kids. And they do Not fly, like a paper airplane. They flap for maybe 2 seconds then fall to the ground. Boring after initial surprise and rewinding once or twice.

To make fly, need at least to wind 30 rotations
I saw comments where people were disappointed they didn't fly. But you really have to make sure to wind them at least 30 times. My pack came with 2 different brands of butterflies. The Magic butterflies did much better. The "fluttering butterflies" were not nearly as good. Haven't tried the metal ones yet to see how they do.

Does it work as advertised?
I bought these for a crafting project for my 5 year old granddaughter. She spent the afternoon making cards for her mother and grandmother. Lots of giggles as she tried these butterflies out. Great fun for me to watch and for her to make. Butterflies do fly.

I ordered two packs and got only 19
The product is good and all butterflies were flying. However only complaint is I got 19 only for two packs i ordered. It should be carefully monitored. I dont have time to return and replace so went ahead.

Very crude, poor quality
Do not buy this. The plastic parts are not made properly and as a result the wings do not rotate as expected. The gluing of the wings is so poor and un even that larger eings interfere with smaller wings
