Great for the price !
I got it for around 25 bucks when it was on sale. Good size knife. The knife thickness i about 3.5 mm. It's not super thick but it can take a beating. It came with nice plastic sheath that has a ferro rod and ceramic sharpener on it. Great for camping or survival situations.

They don’t make them like they used to
I have been a long term Schrade fan! They were so strong for so cheap! However, Schrade was going bankrupt and was sold. Their new products aren’t the same and some of the images have not been updated. They still look great but are much thinner and not as strong. I’m not saying I don’t recommend them, but to me, they’re no longer a “survival knife” option since they’re more likely to break.

Sweet blade
This is a very nice camp knife. Very durable and high quality stainless AUS 8 steel which is a step up from the venerable 440hc. Holds and edge very well and easily sharpened up like a scalpel. very light weight, my scale says 10.8 oz without sheath and 14.2 oz with the sheath. The sheath needs some work, and i will modify with nylon webbing and some rivets...the retention is just so, so and needs a grip strap. The belt loop needs to be cut off and redone with nylon webbing which is easy to do with some rivets and nylon material. Should make a good backpack strap knife after that. I won't dock it a star over the shortcomings of the sheath because the knife itself is such a good deal.

Not perfect,but nice !
Nice knife.there are a few issues though.the biggest issue to me is sheath retention,it does feel very secure in my opinion.the blade could be a bit thicker, more heavy duty. Over all it is a nice knife for the money, you do much worse.if you have large hands, this is definitely the blade for you !

Not what I expected
Great price $24, size, and appearance is what I expected but the handle was thin. I was expecting the schf52 handle... came with a fabric holster to transport. Only keeping it for throwing and hacking debris

What a Deal!!!!!
This must be a close-out as Schrade is dropping AUS-8 in favor of AUS-10. PRO: No rattle sheath , faroe rod and ceramic sharpner. Con: hollow ground - while this will make it a better slicier....a knife this big would be much better off flat or convex

Meh
I had the schf52, it looks the same in the pic I just figured they changed name because it’s aus8 steel now but there’s a lot of differences, the blade stock is much thinner now, the handle and sheath are different and the knife doesn’t feel as substantial as it’s lighter.
