This is more like it. Where the first collection of old CAR was a poor reflection of the colourful words and pictures, this 70s & 80s album is bang on the button.Ferraris, Lambos and a sense of wonder are conjured up by the cars, the routes and the characters. A personal favourite is reprinted here - the story of a drive with Ferrari chief test driver, Dario Bennuzzi.More ordinary cars are covered too, but even they seemed exotic back then (when I was a teenager) and this book had me declaring, "I remember that!", over and over.Perfect for when you're bored with Top Gear repeats on Dave or want to remember when good car journalism was about the cars, not the journalist.

bought it for father in law, he really liked it and wasted time for him over Christmas. the book is a good representation of the car magazines of that time

Some great old articles in this book, and period adverts too. If you collected car magazines in the 70s and 80s you'll get a kick out of it.

This is possibly the best man-present that I've ever bought! Many male heads have been seen all together intently looking at this book. I'm not into cars myself, but this has been a huge hit will every male I have seen that has got their hands on this copy. Definitely a recommended buy!

Worth a look even if the motors were somewhat out of reach then and now.Just a reality check when some of the telephone numbers that are being asked for examples of these motors remind you that they were not quite as you remember them.Great to look at though

I bought this book as a Birthday present for my brother but had a sneaky look at some of the articles before wrapping it up. This is a great look at a classic era for cars and magazine advertising too with period cigarette adverts included.

Fantastic original articles, a lot very non PC , a must pity there aren’t anymore editions.
