Works like it should.
Got this installed in the door without issue, and it works perfectly. The door actually closes and latches easier now than it did with the original, broken latch that was replaced.

Perfect fit replacement
Thousands of entry locks and deadbolts have been sold under the Brands of Defiant (Home Depot) and Gatehouse (Lowes). Broken latches have until now, resulted in replacing the whole lock for lack of replacement parts. These entry latches and deadbolt latches are identical fit replacements if you have either of these brands. I had a failed entry latch on my door going into my garage. Literally had to cut it out with a hacksaw. New latch fixed the problem and fit perfect. I bought extra since I replaced all the entry locks, deadbolts, and privacy locks with Defiant locks in a renovation of my house. Glad to find these.

Worked perfectly to replace a broken Schlage door lock
This was quick 2 minute fix to replace a broken door lock. I couldn't find a replacement of just this part of the lock in any of the local stores and was suggested to replace the entire handle and lock for 10x the cost. This worked like a charm.

Jamed And Binding, cheaply made
Cheaply made, not a very solid product. Would not extend out all the way. And NO! I did not tighten on it too much. I’ve worked with enough of these to know you cannot over tighten handel screws. Took it all back apart to spray lithium grease in it but it only lasted 2 days before binding up again. Went to Home Depot and bought a Schlage like I should’ve done in the first place. Problem solved.

It works
It did the job but is so cheaply built, it came bent and the face was squared, so I had to straighten and cut the edges to make it fit,

Fits perfectly
Ordered as a replacement for Delaney door latch and it was equivalent except for the plate has squares corners versus round corners (no big deal).

Perfect replacement
My front door stopped opening when turning the knob in either direction. Amazon had a lower price for a replacement than big box hardware stores did. It installed easily and worked flawlessly. Great value for the price, and made very solidly.
