I've only had this lock for a week, but I love it. Super easy to program, use, and open.My only complaint is the print in the instruction manual is so tiny you need a microscope to read it. Of course now that I'm an old fart, my eyes aren't that good anymore and reading the numbers on a conventional combination lock was becomming more difficult for me. But I no longer have to fumble around with twirling combinations. When I'm done with my workout at the gym, I go to my locker, press the fingerprint sensor pad with 1 of my programmed fingers, and the lock opens right up. Even my gym buddies commented about the lock --- saying how sturdy it was. The lock has the option of syncing with your android phone so you can use your phone to unlock it. But I use my lock independent of that. I merely touch the sensor pad with my finger and the lock opens. Great lock.

This smart biometric pad lock has been working great for me. My profile setup was super easy, and also, so far none of my data has been stolen because I did not receive any warnings on any of my ID protection sites, fingerprint registration happened smoothly, and without issues, I chose to buy a smart lock with physical keys just incase there's a software malfunction, or the lock would be low on energy, yes you can unlock it via smartphone easy if you have your phone on all the time but you can also unlock it by fingerprint even if your phone is off. The lock itself is constructed well, it doesn't feel flimsy or cheap I've had it for a few months now as of writing this review, it's a good investment if you think being a key makes you feel that much more safe than just standard padlocks.

Update: 7/12/23: Lock has failed. The mechanism to unlock the shackle after it recognizes fingerprints has already failed after less than 50 actions. Once it recognizes the print all I hear is a sickly couple of light clicks. I was using it on the entry door to my studio, which is under an overhang, so weather wasn't really a problem. However, as I am sitting here and typing this out, it has responded to a couple of attempts after about 4 or 5 tries each (as I was making a video to show it failing of course). So, it may be just the heat. But still, not a good reaction for a lock that is supposed to be outdoors and I still consider that a failure. (And to be clear - it is recognizing my fingerprints just fine, it just fails to open due to some sort of mechanism failure)Update 4/27/23: seller read my review and reached out to send me a new lock. Was shipped to me quickly and this time was free of any prior enrollment. Was very easy to set up and enroll fingerprints. Have to say, the management dashboard is pretty straightforward and the lock seems fairly sturdy for the price point. This lock will meet my needs very well. And this time the lock came with a card that had a good contact information which the previous used lock was missing from the package. Will see how it holds up to the weather.Original review: New item came already enrolled to someone else, this I could not use it. I emailed the seller and received no response as to a possible fix. Returned via Amazon. Seemed like a decent lock and was pretty straightforward to get working, except I couldn't because of the enrollment issue.

EDIT: 6-12-2024 - The seller contacted me about my poor review of their smart padlock. I suggested they be more transparent in how the mobile app worked with the padlock and I would adjust my review based on that increase transparency.As you can see in the picture attached, which is now in the product description, they make it clear that you have to wake the padlock up in order to use the mobile app, so it is not actually remote access. Outside of this, the lock seems to be a good one. If your application allows you to easily access the padlock for waking it before using the mobile app, this padlock will be a good one for you.------------------------------------------------I bought this smart padlock intending to put it on a package receipt box in my yard. I expected a Bluetooth app that would open the padlock from my cell phone and then I would just take the lock off to open the package door. This is not what happens.When you attempt to unlock from your cell phone, it says the device is in a dormant state and you have to open the front of the lock and press the wake button to get the app to open the lock. This completely defeats the purpose of a mobile app for opening a lock. If I have to go to the lock and open the front of it to allow the app to unlock it, I might as well use a key.Don't buy this if you are looking for a smart padlock where the app actually unlocks it remotely.

I use it at the gym and is so much easier than hanging onto a key. You have to touch it to wake it up but then it recognizes your finger quickly. It feels pretty heavy duty. For sure it is good enough for gym and also the shank fits planet Fitness lockers.

I purchased the lock in April 2024. I love the fact that you can open it with a fingerprint and a key. I use the lock on an outdoor shed at my Airbnb.My big issue is that by December 2024 the lock is now really hard to close and open with the key and so my guests give up on trying to close the lock and leave the shed open. Don’t know if it’s due to the lock being used on an outdoor shed vs an indoor use.For the price, I would expect it to last longer. This is the second one I purchased as the first one also gave out but I wanted to give it one more chance.

This lock has been outstanding because it eliminates the need to carry keys. After six months of daily use, the battery is still nearly fully charged.This is not a high-security lock because the shakel isn't very thick and it doesn't rest deeply inside the body, but it is strong enough to slow someone down. It has the appearance of being sturdy, and that's enough for me.
