Not recommended for use as a dinner plate
As usual with CGP, this is a well laid out and presented workbook - breaking it down to 10 minutes a day makes it a bit more digestible for this age group of 3-5 - my 5 yo already has pretty good number skills but this helps to hone them from the basic 1-5 on to 10 and then on to 20 and beyond. At this age they may just be starting to read so will need a bit of help with the explanation of what the task is. After the very basics like recognition and writing there are counting up and down, bonds to 5 and then progressively more, adding, subtracting etc so quite a broad range of skills to learn - I'd say this could easily go beyond 5 and into Y1 or even Y2. There are over 100 stickers included which kids love. As usual my gripe with these books are that they are single use and they could easily condense more activities into each page by reducing the number of images - there is a lot of unnecessary colour print in my opinion. Last issue, once the stickers are used, the pages cannot then be recycled - CGP need to have a think about this when it comes to ESG!

Brilliant book
If you're looking to introduce your child to numbers in a fun and engaging way, this book is just what you need. What I loved most about this book is its simplicity and ease of use. The activities are designed to be completed in just 10 minutes a day, making it perfect for young kids with short attention spans. The colorful illustrations and friendly characters keep my child excited and eager to learn every day.The book covers a wide range of number-related topics, such as counting, writing numbers, and simple addition and subtraction. Each activity is age-appropriate and gradually builds upon the previous ones, ensuring that your child learns at their own pace. The inclusion of reward stickers is a fantastic motivator. My child feels a sense of accomplishment and pride whenever they complete an activity and get to place a shiny sticker on the page. It's a great way to encourage positive reinforcement and boost their confidence. As a parent, I appreciate that the book follows the CGP Reception Activity Books. This means the content is thoughtfully designed to align with early learning goals and curriculum standards. So, while my child is having fun, they are also building a solid foundation in numerical skills. It is a fantastic activity book that successfully blends learning and fun. The reward stickers, vibrant illustrations, and age-appropriate content make it a hit with kids, while parents can rest assured knowing that their child is learning important numerical skills. If you want to make math enjoyable for your little one, I highly recommend giving this book a try!

Great for preschool practice
Fab book for keeping kids practising for a short amount each day without getting bored. The sticker reward still holds a little bit of swap still at this age too, especially if you say that they're getting a special treat for a full week of stickers or whatever. We really like the books from this series, we have a few of them and they are all super clear and easy for the kids to use at home. The age guidelines seem to be pretty appropriate but you could always buy the age range up if you're wanting to really challenge or stretch your kids. These 10 minutes a day book have been especially useful to use over holidays or for the build up to starting reception for our 4 year old.Our daughter also used the study and question books in school in her last primary school, which makes these extra books even more ideal to use at home to compliment what they're learning at school.

10 Minutes a Day - Numbers Ages 3-5
I myself have used CGP books in a number of different ways with various young people through work and have always found them extremely useful, well laid out and gives a boost for students at home from the curriculum they are currently learning. To be honest, I even remember using them myself when I was at school a good few years ago now, they're that well established as a publisher! As a new parent to a little one, I was intrigued by this range aimed at younger students and excited to see what they have to offer and was happy to find the quality and challenges are the same with these books as I've previously used. This new 10 minute series is a good way to engage your child in recapping and practicing what they have learnt at school. This one is aimed at 3-5 year olds though they start from 3*. It is a Math based book focusing on numbers and is bright, educational and fun and it has reward stickers which I know my little one will love. It has easy to understand language and allows 3-5 year olds to practice along with what they are being taught at school and is designed to build confidence and boost their knowledge.

Excellent full-colour numbers activity book with reward stickers included
Simply excellent. This is a full colour 61-page activity book, well targeted to 3-5 year olds. It's part of a series, and this book looks at numbers. The book guides a child (with parental support) through a series of bitesize exercises that get progressively harder. It even includes stickers that can be used as a motivational reward on completion of each page.Exercises start off training your child to recognize numbers up to 5, the values they represent and starting to write them, through a series of fun games and activities. The book moves through to counting exercises, addition and subtraction and basic multiplication (doubling) by the end of the book. And there's plenty of opportunities for practice. My 4yr old daughter loves the "games" and looks forward to her 10minutes (I alternate with the other books in the series). And I love the fact she's happy learning. This is well written, fun, and targeted at the perfect age-group to benefit (about to start reception)
