Very strong bleach smell
This stuff is amazing. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. Our RV roof had stains from old water damage. I covered the couch so I did not get overspray on it. I mixed it per the directions. Then sprayed it everywhere we had stains. Within a few minutes they were visibly fading. I respirated the worst stains about an hour later and they are nearly gone. The only down side is the smell. It is very strong and you really should open up all the windows and turn on the exhaust fans while using this product. I will DEFINITELY buy again.

Totally satisfied
I am putting my house on the market and I had water stains on the popcorn ceilings of two bedrooms. I had read "just mix one part bleach and two parts water and spray the ceiling multiple times until the stain is gone". Sounded reasonable. Thing is - it didn't work. It somewhat faded the stain in one room that was pretty light but didn't even touch the darker stain in the guest room.I was pretty convinced that there were just no good options here. Ceiling spray paint never really matches. Bleach doesn't work. Repainting the whole ceiling is a pretty questionable proposition because you run the risk of the popcorn just falling off and then you have to try to respray the popcorn stuff in a can that doesn't match and looks like garbage anyway. So what the heck are you supposed to do?Buy InstaGone. It actually works. The directions say that for heavy stains you should mix it with half the amount of water so that's what I did. I sprayed it on both stains and actually watched them almost disappear completely on the first go. The lighter stain I treated one more time and the darker one I sprayed a total of four times (letting it dry in between each time). The stains are gone. You can't even tell where they used to be. I can't recommend this product enough for this purpose.

High Expectations
We had roof damage from a hail storm. Leaked onto our ceiling. We had to use this 4 times to see a difference. It had such a strong smell. It took off some of the stain but not all of it. Finished it off with bleach water in a spray bottle and that took off most of it.

This stuff is freakishly good.
There's a large amount of bleach in it, so when spraying surfaces be careful what you are wearing. I bought this for the black stains on my sailboat. Scrubbing the mildew on basically every surface of a cruising sailboat was an absolutely miserable, time-consuming job, and I was looking for anything that would make the job easier. I saw this stuff and figured I'd give it a shot.Wow. First I sprayed it on and immediately wiped it off, and it instantly killed the mildew, but it still did smear a little bit. Then I figured I'd let it sit for a few minutes on the surfaces I was trying to clean. Sprayed the entire ceiling of my hardtop cockpit enclosure then went to the bathroom. I came back like five minutes later and there was no mildew. It was completely gone. I couldn't believe it.Sprayed more surfaces, came back 10 minutes later. Completely white. This stuff is worth its weight in gold.It does smell powerful, so make sure you have good ventilation, and as I mentioned earlier, it will bleach your clothing if the mist (or drops) get on it. I have a pair of very oddly stained shorts and a blotched tshirt now, but it's not like I'm out a bunch of cash for them. I also got some accidentally on some of my settee upholstery and it's noticeable, but there's no question this stuff is powerful and easy to use.

New, improved formula is useless
I first bought Instagone more than 20 years ago, and it was a fantastic product. Now, it does not address water stains at all. In fact, the last time I used it, all it did was spread the ceiling stain out so that it looks worse. I also used to employ it to banish bathroom mold in the shower, but now it leaves the mold unscathed. It truly was a great product at one time. I see that it is described online as a "New & Improved Formula: Enhanced effectiveness." It is not improved or enhanced -- just made cheaper, I guess. Additionally, the spray bottles they give you will work the first time you use them, but if want to use them on another day you will find out that they stop working. Very cheaply made. i had to buy new bottles to continue using the product. Threw it all out in the end. No more.

Good Product
This product did a fair job of cleaning up the stains on the cloth ceiling of our boat. It is potent and must be used with caution as it has a bleaching effect. When the box arrived, it weighed next to nothing. Upon opening it, I found two little packets of the product which are to be mixed in water. The majority of the box contained an empty spray bottle. I would suggest that just the packets be shipped as most of us can find a spray bottle. This would cut the shipping costs of $16 down to the cost of mailing a letter.

Removes Colour
I purchased this product to remove water stains from the roof of our motorhome which is carpeted. This product seemed to do a reasonable job. It has a very strong bleach smell and I found it also removed the colour along with the stain. I only applied once and still have some marks.
