Like the title said. Only for mounting to a flat ceiling if the ceiling is not perfectly flat you won’t be able to rotate the screen.

Worked well for hanging a 40" Visio on my porch
Easy installation. Generous supply of hardware provided. All parts included and instructions made sense which as you know is not always the case with foreign made products. This fit my need perfectly but then again I'm tall and the porch rafter used is only 7.5 feet above floor so flipping up or down is easy.

Couldn't Hold a 52 inch TV
This product is well made but we had to create a custom TV Mount because this one wasn't sturdy enough to hold a 52 Inch Samsung TV. Would work well for smaller TVs.

Was exactly what I was looking for.
I was looking for a ceiling mount to use on a slanted ceiling. I decided to purchase this one. I am so glad I did. It worked perfectly for that 55" tv. The mount was easy to install directly to the studs. The mount naturally hangs in a very good natural angle with the tv mounted. I also like having the option to hook the tv to the mount if I need it up and out of the way.
