Bit salty, but came out very crispy!
Not a bad coating mix- we found it a bit saltier than we like and it could have used more of the other flavors like paprika and garlic, but still not bad. The box is small and it seems like not very much mix, but we were able to coat 8 good size pork chops with it and they fried up nice and crispy in our air fryer! I think if you're not into making your own breading mixes, this is a pretty great option and very reasonably priced. Worth noting that the box instructions do have you dip your meat in egg first (with the price of eggs right now, that's a consideration) though you could possibly substitute another binding ingredient. My kids really liked this better than other mixes we've tried in the past, so I'd definitely consider getting it again and just adding some additional spices to give it a bit more flavor.

Salty... but perfect crisp
I usually use panko or cornflakes, but this was a surprising find for air frying. It works really well as a coating in the air fryer. The cornflakes sometimes become a little soggy depending on what you use, and the panko can get dried out without a good crisp. The taste is a little saltier than what I'd prefer but it could be the best coating that I've tried for an air fryer.

The crunch is real :-D
Zatarain's Air Fryer Chicken Seasoned Coating Mix, 5 ozI heard the crunch!!! :-DI did both air fryer & oven baked methods in order to give a full review of this coating mix.I followed package directions for each method & turned over about 1/2 way through.*The 5oz box covered 8 thinly cut chicken breaststhese are my results;Air fryer;Sooo incredibility crispy on the outside & tender juicy inside- coating stayed put even after cutting Very impressed.Oven baked; Lacked a tiny bit in comparison. Still really good but coating slipped a bit & didn’t have the same crunch factor as my air fried version.I found the flavor to be “lively” and paired well with a mix of white rice & black beans.I never really use my fryer for scratch meals like chicken breasts, pork chops etc. but I will most definitely do it more often now. Enjoy!

Really Yummy!
This gives a great kick to standard chicken breasts... plus, the air-fryer makes cleanup a breeze! This reminds me a lot of a more flavorful and slightly less pokey Panko seasoning which I happen to like a lot. It's still thick enough to provide crunch without getting soaked by the chicken's juices, but it's not too big that it's all you taste. Recommended!

Tastes Pretty Good!
Super easy to use all you have to do is egg wash the chicken and apply. I will say that I think that the serving instructions call for a lot more breading than what will be used. When we used it we were able to use the whole package to make 8 lb of chicken breast and still had quite a bit leftover even though the directions said that it would only work for 4 lbs which is definitely a plus. Tastes pretty good nothing amazing but I don’t have any complaints about it! Would recommend for those who want to make some easy lightly breaded fried chicken!

Air Fryer Coating
This definitely did the job in the air fryer with chicken strips. Crispy and stays coated.

Don't limit yourself to chicken!
I was offered this coating to try and I really like a seasonings with some zest, however, I don't eat chicken. So....I decided to use it on my Salmon. I normally use a chipotle based seasoning, but it doesn't offer the texture and crunch that this seasoning offers. Did I like the difference? Absolutely!!! Zatarain's is know for it's slightly spicy seasonings and this one followed suit. The big difference is the texture - it came it light and crunchy and the coating helped keep the moisture in the fish when I air fried it. It's like using my chipotle seasoning and panko crumbs combined. I definitely would use this product again. Two thumbs up!

Best air fryer coating we have tired yet.
Most air fryer coating are too fine and don't have the texture of a fried coating. This comes as close as we have found. It coats the chicken really well and stayed on. We use panko a lot but it's too thick for some dishes, this should be perfect for most.
