StarTech.com 6in 20 Pin Motherboard to 24 Pin ATX Power Adapter - M/F (ATX2024FM)

So I purchased this for my old PC that was going strong, until my AX860 just up and died on me. So I dragged out my old 750W cooler PSU, chucked that in the case and the wire was just too short to reach through the back route. Instead for the time being I ran the wire straight up and purchased one of these.Wire connected easily and now I don't have a ghastly wire going straight up. Easy and simple to do and rather cheap. I have also have a old Zalman Z11 and a new EVGA PSU and one for that also.

its cheap for a good reason. The ends that are meant to fit into the motherboard are too large, so one might fit, but if using 8 pins its a no go unless you want to warp your connection or even break the motherboard. paid around £5 mark for a different 8 pin connection and fitted perfectly and immediately as it should. But hey, amazon were good enough to accept the return, so thank you amazon.

like most other PC Builders, I found myself in a sticky situation. I had bought a Full Tower case, but the PSU CPU fan did not reach (due to the power socket of the fan being at the top). I ran it temporarily (i'll probably be shouted at for this) by having my PSU stand up on its side with the exhaust fan pointing out where it was meant to be screwed in.I ordered this as soon as I had found out that I couldn't plug the wire in. The free delivery took from Wednesday to Monday (3 days). I wasn't willing to pay first class - I'm constantly broke haha! The cable came suitably packaged, fitted and added on an extra length. I can not only have the PSU screwed in now, but I can manage this cable to allow air flow through my case now.Essential buy - if you're even thinking about getting it, just buy it ;)

Just what I needed to extend the CPU power plug. I needed to extend it since the socket was at the top of my motherboard and my graphics card was in the way so with the help of this I was able to do it comfortably without stretching it. That said I would recommend making sure this is the right length before hitting purchase as there are so many different sizes of these cables it's quite amazing actually just how many there are!

People complaining about using it for 8 pin connections: this is for a 4 pin. That is why is does not fit.First off, this came two days early so that’s really great delivery from these guys.As for the product, it does what it says. It adds some extra length to the 4 pin atx. Works great and looks great.

Necessary little gadget which helps with certain motherboard and power supply unit (psu) positioning on full tower cases, as often the standard attachment on your psu will not reach the plug on the motherboard as the psu will usually be positioned at the bottom of your case and the cable has to reach the top end of the motherboard which will usually always end up at the top end of the case!
