Outstanding customer service
Edit 10/3/23: While the concern I stated below is stll valid, I've changed my rating and opinion due to the excellent response from Wikiwiki. The only reason I do not rate 5 stars is that the replacement for the casing in question is identical to the original leading me to reinforce it as shown in the final pic. The company DID send a replacement part which, though somewhat awkward, I was able to replace. With my original experience, I felt it expedient to reinforce the casing with a small block of wood where the original casing broke under normal stress. Wikiwiki also contacted me to offer a total replacement or refund (which I accepted). Given this level of exceptional customer service, I think upgrading my rating is reasonable. Reviews of most other umbrellas show similar problems without any resolution -- even at much higher price levels. I'd rather take my chances with this Wikiwiki umbrella which, as I stated up front, DOES NOT LEAK even through numerous heavy rains. It makes a wonderful shelter over my grill and i would like to get another for my outdoor dining area. I do still recommend that Wikiwiki reinforce that casing and that anyone reinforce ANY offset umbrella in a similar manner. (Caution: Never use any umbrella over a grill without constant supervision and attention. People lose homes due to such stupidity. KNOW YOUR GRILL!)Edit 7/5/23: i contacted Wikiwiki and they are sending me a new casing. We'll see.Original post: I really wanted to like this umbrella. The canopy seems strong and does not leak. But less than 2 months after receiving, the crank casing cracked and is treatening to break off entirely. The photos show how it has needed a strap clamp just to hold together.Edit 7/5/23: i contacted Wikiwiki and they are sending me a new casing. We'll see.

WikiWiki 10 foot Cantilever Umbrella (with weighted base)
Decent enough, some observations:Needs the sand (2 sacks to fill one of the 2 supplied weight bags), currently I am using one potted plant and one weight bag.The bags are made with a heavier nylon outer with a bonded plastic liner. Not suitable for liquid, though. Its closure is a sturdy, sewn velcro strip. The umbrella itself (canopy) is polyester, kinda thin but it's built to a certain price. If you want sail cloth, look elsewhere. Blocks the sun adequately.Ribs (8) are made of aluminum, mount blocks are plastic. Has a top vent of sorts, too. There is a velcro strap sewn into the canopy edge, this is used for wind stability, so connect the canopy with this toward the main pole (not 180 degrees off like I did).Assembly instructions are so-so. I used slightly larger flat washers for the 4 main bolts attaching to the base. Supplied ones are really thin.So in normal breezes, it stays stable. For storms or winds above 15 mph, I'd wind it closed and secure the canopy to the main pole with the supplied tie. The weight on the base is important. Be prepared for a learning curve. /RZ

Great price but small caveat
This is a great umbrella at a great price! However, like others have mentioned, the crank casing do fail and mine was no different. It ended up cracking and breaking on us. Luckily, wiki wiki customer support is responsive and does actually support their products. They shipped me a new one right away and got my umbrella working again!Looking at the design, it seems to have stress risers where it holds on the metal collar that puts tension on the crank and that ends up cracking and failing. I opened it up and reinforced the ribbing structure by pouring in 2 part steel reinforced epoxy resin and it seems to be holding up much better!

Was originally underwhelmed, but they fixed it
I ordered this umbrella on July 1 and received on July 6. I was able to get the umbrella assembled, but the base that it comes with is horrible. So I ordered a replacement base on July 16 based on one of the reviews (Wikiwiki Medium Base 340 lbs). I closed the umbrella and laid it down while waiting for new one to arrive. Delivery was delayed several times and I was finally offered the opportunity to cancel the order which I did on July 31, and ordered the wikiwiki Compact Base 230 lb base which I received this week. After assembling the base, and putting the umbrella on, the cord popped while I was cranking it to open it. No sign of the cord to even attempt fixing. I reached out to Wikiwiki customer support and am waiting for a response as I'd like them to send me a replacement umbrella or a refund.Update 8/13/23 - I got a quick response back from customer support. While they didn't have red, they asked if I would accept blue, which I did. It was shipped via FEDEX and arrived this morning. Since I already had the base ready go to I just needed to unpack the umbrella and place it on the base. It took some doing, but I'm satisfied for now! Ps....I live in Phoenix so having backyard umbrellas is a must!

POOR DESIGN - Required Modification
POOR DESIGN - MULTIPLE ISSUES!For us, the pin on the main bar does not allow the umbrella to safely line up with the base and creates a tripping hazard. NOTE: the umbrella is fixed in one position and DOES NOT rotate on the main vertical bar! Rivets on the upper section prevent any rotation of the umbrella. The main bar pin/notch only allows the base to point forward in a diamond position with a corner (point) positioned forward. The base cannot be put in the square front orientation because the umbrella itself is in a fixed position with the pin. This required extensive modification to cut new notches so it would line up properly. The hand crank mechanism to open/close the umbrella is plastic and feels very un-sturdy and weak. I use one hand to crank open the umbrella and the other hand to help pull it open. I would not trust using the hand crank by itself.Seems to be a nice umbrella material but since the umbrella does not rotate, the stand can create a tripping hazard (unless modified), and the crank is plastic, makes it a one-star item.I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THIS AGAIN!***UPDATE***Seller reached out and really stepped up to take care of my concerns. Given their reesponse the rating has been changed to 4 stars!
