My 91 yo mother-in-law uses them after having a mini-stroke on her dominate side. The handles are very easy to hold on to. Review: Great for indepdence - excellent design, the wide handles make for an easy grip even if you don't have complete control of closing your hands anymore, my grandfather-(in-law?) has bell's palsy and mild parkinson's but is able to use these utensils with relative ease. My only complaint is that the ridges at the business end of rubber make for a nice food trap so I'd keep a dish brush handy to free those food particles.

Could be very useful, but didn't help for my mother.
I bought this set for my 95 year old mother who has had a problem eating with silverware. I thought that the larger handles would make them easier for her to hold. For her, the wider handles were more confusing. Whether the silverware has wide handles or the normal ones, the person using them has to know how to orient the end of the utensil. I found that, for my mother, the thickness of the handle didn't matter much. We decided to keep the set in case they might be useful later, but they didn't help my mother much at this time. I can see where this set would be helpful for someone that had severe arthritis and was having difficulty holding silverware with smaller handles. The set would also be useful for someone that could use the non-slip handles. They would be much easier to hold on to. The can also be bent for people that cannot use silverware in the normal manner. I think this set would be very useful for some people, but, at this time, they didn't help much for my mother.

Excellent product
My husband has a condition called Essential Tremors which has Parkinson like symptoms. He loves the utensils and asked me to order an additional set for our summer home. Like all Good Grips these are very well made. Also, they are dishwasher safe unlike some I have purchased in the past and you can adjust these for your personal preference. He is very happy with these utensils.

Easy to use for handicapped hands.
I love these utensils. I have a tremor and arthritic hands. These are easy to hold and eat with. I even take them with me to restaurants. I’ve purchased other items that “look like” these but were very flimsy. Order was delivered in a timely manner.

Handles are too short
This is a functional set of adaptive dinnerware. I have ordered multiple brands with longer handles that are easier to utilize.

Big help for arthritic hands
I bought the set for my mother. She doesn't have grip on her hands due to arthritis. The utensils helped her to feed herself, however, because she has tiny hands, the handle is a bit too big for her. Other than that, she's happy with the soft grip.
