Paper cover is horrid but thankfully underneath is a nice quality red hard bound book with a ribbon bookmark which is much appreciated. High quality book, well made good paper quality and content.

I honestly wish I could tell you if the writing is good or not but I physically can't. Who in their right mind thinks it's a good idea to put a red background behind small font black text. For all I know it's good but I can't read it hence the one star

I have purchased this book as a gift but as a fellow art lover I had a quick flip through, this book is colourful and bold and tells you about each artist.

Taschen makes another incredible book. This is as the title states. 100 Manga Artists. The history of the artists represented here is terrific. Very well written bio-pieces.Picked this up for a dear fiend’s daughter who’s very well versed in the world of manga so I told her it would look cool on her coffee table. She loves it. It’s THE portable A to Z of Manga artists. Goddess bless Taschen.

Assez dense et intéressant pour tout ceux qui s'intéressent aux mangas ou pas !

Me parece que una enciclopedia que trata de amontonar autores más que curar o presentarlos propiamente. No es una lectura fluida ni agradable pues el orden es alfabético y no por años o influencias. El texto que se incluye es limitado igual que las ilustraciones (que no entiendo cuál fue el criterio que utilizaron). Habría preferido 20 o 30 autores, pero con mayor análisis y profundidad, que esta aglutinación mecánica (creo que aprenderíamos más de los autores y su obra en Wikipedia).Le pongo dos estrellas por ser una edición cuidada en cuanto a la portada, encuadernación y uso de fuentes (al final del día es un libro Taschen, pero quizá el peor que he comprado).

I bought this for my daughter who is into anime and she loved it. Many artists are featured here giving a beautiful variety of sometimes breathtaking art.

Se trata de un libro recopilatorio de artistas del manga/cómic, de la editorial Taschen. Tiene tapa dura y buen grosor, bastante contenido, alrededor de 660 páginas. El papel tiene buena gramaje (100g/m2 o superior) con un acabado satinado, de color blanco muy puro.En cuanto al apartado gráfico, es una genialidad tener tantos artistas variados en un mismo tomo. De cada uno de ellos, se muestra algunas páginas de viñetas de sus obras, además de una breve descripción, premios, mejores obras... Prácticamente todas las escenas que aparecen, están en japonés, mostrando así las versiones originales. Todos los dibujos son en blanco y negro, resaltando más gracias al blanco puro del acabado del papel.Este tomo es perfecto tanto para iniciados, como para ya conocedores de manga, pues permite descubrir autores que quizá no sean tan conocidos, pero con trabajos brillantes.
