I really love the ocean coral pattern on these placemats. From side to side that measurement is alright but could be a little wider. The top to bottom measurement of these placements barely hold my dinner plate. I wanted to send them back but because my husband liked them so much, we are keeping them. I would suggest the manufacturer make these beautiful placemats a little larger.
