This is a great hoist for the money! I purchased a beam at Home Depot and lag screwed it to the ceiling of my garage across the rafters. I put trolleys on the hoist so now I have the ability to position it to where it is most functional for the job at hand. I really like the remote control feature. It works flawlessly and is so convenient to not have the control tethered to the hoist. It comes with two straps that are well made and sturdy and will last a long time. I use this hoist to lift up my Deere lawn tractor to make working under the deck (sharpen blades, etc) easier and it is perfect for it. Since installing it, I have found many more uses for it. Don't know how I got by without it!

I bought this for the attic on seasonal decor and it was so amazing it made my pants so tight. Not only did it exceed my expectations I started grabbing everything within arms length, strapped it up and sent it right up to the top like a circus ride. I even tried to put a harness on little dog to send him on up to the rafters! I even might do some cosplay and do mission impossible. Worth the purchase and quality is great. Wireless controller great. Efficiency super great. This is a must buy if you want to upgrade your life.

Needed a hoist installed inside an Amish shed. This hoist works perfectly for placing items up onto the life in our shed. Smooth operation and well designed.

Everything about this is awesome outside of the fact that the pulley that comes with it to lift 880 lbs has cotter pins made out of string. Make sure to replace those with new cotter keys or something else, I used aircraft safety wire. I was able to use this in a beam install and it helped tremendously. The remote is great, the cable I'm sure will need replacement in a while, but the price is right. Mount it on a unistrut trolley and it's very useful.

After years of having to have a buddy meet me at my house and help me remove the hardtop from my Jeep I decided it was time for a change. I bought this winch to raise, lower, and store my Jeep top near the ceiling during the summers. The winch was extremely easy to install, just put a couple of parts on it, mount it, and plug it in, easy. This winch is heavy, but high quality; it lifts the Jeep top effortlessly. I'm happy with my purchase, and while my use for the winch might be light. I am positive this winch could lift a lot more weight. Another thing I like about this particular winch is the wireless remote that it came with! Very convenient.

Couldn't ask for a better hoist for the money! Love the wireless remote as opposed to the wired versions.

I installed my 440/880 lb hoist and decided to test the weight handling capability. for Safety Purposes. I loaded 180 pounds and had no problem. I loaded another 180 pounds for a total of 360 pounds using the Single Hook and Cable setup that has the 440 pound rating and the Cable came un-crimped, dropping the load. There are two Crimp points at the end of the cable. One is near the Hook and the other above the Spring and Red Stopper. The cable slid out of both Crimped points. This could have been a potentially very dangerous incident. Please check your Cable at these crimp points and/or test your Hoist before use, mine was not crimped tight enough.

For my use this hoist works great. I put it in my attic to lift the top off my jeep from the garage below. The wireless feature is fantastic and makes the job so much easier. I doubled the cord back to itself to get half the lift speed. I’ve had it a year and works seamlessly every time. I cannot comment on its lifting capacity as the top doesn’t weigh much overall.
