## Description

AH! KOSMOS is the moniker of Istanbul-based producer and instrumentalist Ba ak Günak. Two years from the release of her Flesh EP, AH! KOSMOS is announcing her self-produced, full-length debut for Denovali Records called BASTARDS due out in April 2015. This release will be accompanied by a re-issue of the debut EP FLESH, released for the first time on a world-wide scale and on the vinyl format. BASTARDS digs deeply into the surface and soon turns that hole into a living space, a home for all. Albeit Bastards are not orphans, but they are freed from models or possessions and reckon no top or bottom, no right or wrong. In these interstices, a band of un-mastered sounds and voices are composing a brotherhood of a new kind. This fatherless community of differents that gather and fall apart, meet and clash, now unfolds the horizon of infinite lines and curves, feverish desires and endless sympathies. Spaced-out layers of beats and blissed-out sounds and textures create a sense of slow, echoic wonder that eventually builds to a multi-rhythmic universe of its own. Supporting the likes of Darkside, James Holden, Kiasmos, Two Door Cinema Club, Emika, Daddy G (Massive Attack) in her hometown Istanbul, AH! KOSMOS performed at remarkable festivals as Rock n Coke, Babylon Soundgarden, Venice Electro Festival, Budapest Punkurica Festival, Piknik Elektronik in Brussels, Tokyo Electronic Music of Arts Festival and CitySonic Festival in Mons. Ba ak Günak has also composed and created sound design for contemporary dance and plays, short-flms and site-specifc performances / installations in several art spaces including Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Prague Signal Festival, 18th and 19th Istanbul International Theater Festival (IKSV), ARENA Theater Festival Nürnberg and Venice ElectroFestival. Recently, she has been invited to the highly coveted Red Bull Music Academy 2014 Tokyo as a participant.
