For the money, I don't think you can beat this set of cleavers. The smaller one is very light weight and goes through just about anything like butter. They did come with a decent edge from the factory but I put a proper edge on them with the Ninja Orange knife sharpener. If you don't have one of those, get one! Another item that can't be beat for the money. I didn't put such a razor's edge on the chopping cleaver but I put I pretty gnarly working edge on it. The chopper has good weight to it making chopping through bones very easy. Both cleavers are holding their edges very well. That tells me they were heat treated and properly hardened. Comparable cleavers go for well over $100. For less than $40 I got two well built, properly forged cleavers that I have been very happy with and used frequently since purchasing them. The only critique I have for them is on the smaller cleaver, the tang ever so slightly protrudes up from the handle. It's not uncomfortable nor does it affect the cleaver's performance. Just a minor quality check issue. But again, for the money, these can't be beat!

By far the best knife set I have ever owned. So good, I've bought 2 more sets of other knives from the company. First they are razor sharp out of the box. I did the paper test with them, and have never had a knife slice as thin as these do. Slicing meat is like a hot knife through butter. Even cutting loafs of bread is easy. They are the perfect weight and balance when holding them. If your not use to some of the shapes of the knives they do take getting use to. I highly recommend buying these, you will not be disappointed.

My respects to this item. The knifes were extremely sharp. They cut through the pigs fat like butter. We skinned a 350 pound pig in 15 minutes. (Im a beginner) For the price and delivery time. It is an amazing product.

They feel like a 75+$ set .. used to cut up deer/hog (Christmas present for my dad) . Great and VERY SHARP

These seem pretty well built. I will update if that changes. They are not big so butchering small cuts will be fine, but breaking down primals or sub-primals I don't know yet, cross my fingers. It sits in my hand comfortably and I like the weight of the blades. Overall, its way worth the money.

Great quality, very durable and very sharp!

Theses knives are absolutely razor sharp right out of the box. They are carbon steel knives and not stainless steel so they will be susceptible to rusting. However, because they are carbon steel they will hold an edge much better than stainless. If you’re someone that washes the knives and puts it in the drawer then you will have rusting issues. If you’re someone who appreciates a quality knife and keeps them clean and oiled then buy them. They are a well made quality set. Can’t go wrong for the price.

The pair showed up today and the meat cleaver is ok.... needs a better edge but can work with that with sharpening but the bone clever is like a dull hockey blade 😔 Not sure I can fix the edge on this... needs a grinder... it's a dull axe. Not very impressed with it🙄 like the looks of them though so happy with that but will see if they can do anything?? Even a good stone for sharping... ordered Japanese and Chinese Sue chef knifes and they came with a sharpener but they don't work on these puppies... blades are too big. Catch 22 lol
