An Impressive Electronic Drum Set for Drummers on the Go
This a fun little electronic drum set for beginners or for anyone who likes to drum or learning to drum. It could be also a fun gift for kids. The drum pad boasts a responsive and realistic feel, emulating the sensation of playing an acoustic drum kit. The inclusion of the built-in speaker and earphone connectivity adds versatility to this electronic drum set. When I want to play privately, I can plug in my earphones and enjoy an immersive drumming experience without disturbing others. This electronic drum set is a reasonable compromise for the convenience and portability it provides.

Definitely a kid set
The description didn't make clear but this is definitely a kid size electronic drum set. Not half bad for what it is and it would make a great gift for a young teen. Probably not for an older teen or a larger kid

Let the fun begin
This drum set is just the beginning when you are looking for fun.The different settings make this drum kit fun to get to know and play. These are sensitive to the touch, and respond quickly. Lost a stick? Grab one of mom or dads wooden spoons that would be a good stand in.Let the neighbors know when you are going to ramp up the volume even a touch. That volume is loud even when its at a low level. The littles turned it up and I think the neighbors two streets over heard the banging on this set.I like the roll up design, easy portability without damaging the set. Add in the waterproofing, you know this is a winner. My guys, from the little littles, to the adults + had a great time playing. When I asked if they would buy this at the current price of $70.00 (with a $20. coupon at the time of this review) they said they would definitely want this.

My inner child had a blast!
Though the Amazon title says it's for kids 9 through 12, I got this for myself (57 years old) and am having a blast playing with it. So far, I've been enjoying checking out the different settings and playing along with my favorite songs. The upper right pad seems a bit flat and can barely be heard, but the overall sounds are good enough for just having fun. It's also fairly sensitive so moving or barely touching the pad will create drum sounds.I like that it came with ear phones (it's fairly loud - even at the lowest setting) and can be rolled up so easy to transport. So far I've not had to recharge it so can't say if it will play 10 hours (as described). I also have not tried to connect it to my computer, as I don't have a need for that. Nice to have a USB MIDI jack in case I ever change my mind.

Stop working
Drum set stop working after a week. Tried everything to see if it was something I did but did not work. Was fun while it lasted

Wait - you were expecting what?!?
This is a great set if you have a kid who likes to tap on things. Get this, and direct that energy in to playing drums and making beats. Sound Quality, you ask? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The whole point of this is to plug in a set of headphones!

This thing is awesome
I ordered this for my 2 and 3 year old because they like to drum a lot, and since we recently sold my drum set I thought this might be a great alternative.I'm so happy I ordered this, there's just so many good things about this that I really love.1) It sounds amazing, even using the built-in speaker I think it sounds great and I really love that about this.2) You can use headphones with it if you want it to not be too loud. This has been awesome with my kids because we can give them each a headphone to listen and let them play as much as they want, but we don't have to listen to it.3) This drum pad rolls up to be very small, easily portable, and is very convenient to use/store as needed.Seriously, I couldn't be happier with this drum set, it sounds great, works great, is a lot of fun to use, has plenty of options for sound (headphones vs built-in speaker, etc) and even has some demo drums it can play, which my kids love to turn on and drum along with.10/10, absolutely recommend, love this set and I think you will too!

Um, this is a legit practice pad for drummers, and also good for kids to beat up!
This Bietrun 7-Drum Practice Pad is super solid and responsive and I personally can say it's not a toy! This whole kit comes with everything you need, including half decent earphones and drum sticks!I'd recommend new drummers or drummers that don't have their own kit to practice with and invest in one of these electric pads that offer both right handed and left handed playing options. The pad even comes with a set of metronome clicks you can hear in the surprisingly decent speakers attached to the pad.You can even use your fingers to tap on each pad and get the same feedback and responsiveness as drumsticks. I also love the hi-hat and bass pedals they provided and they are long enough to reach the floor in a sitting position. Two very very very minor issues: This is powered by an outdated micro-USB cable and doesn't come with an AC adapter box which is annoying but not a deal breaker. Also, the 3.5mm input to play a music track through the drum speakers doesn't do a great job at leveling-out the drum sounds and the track.Otherwise, this is an impressive electric drum pad and parents, roommates, and of course drummers can all live in harmony. Highly recommend it.

Not a toy
If you're a drummer and looking for a practice pad, this is it. It's incredibly sensitive. It has two pedals (one for the hi-hat and the other for the kick) and seven pads. What amazed me is that it has its own amplifier with really good bass. And that part of the advertisement saying it's for "Kids," well, tell me, what 9-year-old kid knows how to program MIDI? Sure, there are drummers who start at nine years old, but this is not a toy! It's more like a computer that can be connected to a computer via MIDI. And if you connect it through audio (using a 3.5mm connector to a DAC) or connect it to software like Protools, Studio One, etc., you'll see what a great recording it can produce! It goes without saying that the real toy here is the drumsticks. As a drummer, I already know that I would never use the ones that come with a drum set. It's like guitarists would never use the factory-installed strings on a guitar. But overall, it's a good product, and let go of the idea that it's just a "TOY." By the way, I also know that you have an Octapad, so when curiosity strikes in the late hours of the night and sleep won't come, this practice pad will keep you entertained!

$60 at time of review and worth the price!
I remember when digital synthesis drums first hit the market back in the early 80's and could cost into the thousands of dollars for a lot of the features that this little machine is capable of doing. A very clever drum kit for a beginning drummer or a recreational tool for a pre-teen to teen child interested in drumming along to their favorite music. Comes with everything needed to get playing right away.

Great practice set for an aspiring drummer
My younger child is learning percussion in school band and I thought this would be better for her to practice with than some real drums (at least for the rest of us living in the house). She has some practice pads that are pretty quiet, but this set allows her to use headphones and has much more realistic sounds than a dull rubber pad, plus more instruments compared to the single pad. This set also has a pair of foot pedals which she had never used before. I think I'll see about rigging up a surface for her to use this on that's more at snare drum height, but that's an issue for me and nothing on this set. She seems to like this a lot, and has been practicing playing more (which is a plus - especially over the summer break).

This is basically a toy
At $60, this "electronic drum set" is overpriced in my opinion. Could this device be used in an actual performance setting? Yes. But it won't impress anyone. The sound quality is pretty poor. The internal speakers just don't have what it takes to do justice to the sound samples contained in the device. At the highest volume settings, there is noticable clipping especially with the high frequency sounds like cymbals. The samples, themselves, are not too bad. They don't sound natural but they sound OK. I would say that the sound samples in this digital drum set are on par with the drum samples in a $200 Casio keyboard. The drum pads are small. In a way, this can be good for beginners (because it can increase precision) but it can also lead to a lot of frustration. The pads are quite sensitive and are easy to activate by accident. They are made of soft rubber and provide enough rebound for multistrokes. The pads feel squishy which is quite unlike the feeling of a drum head. The kickdrum and hi-hat pedals are merely simple momentary footswitches like you might find included with a cheap keyboard for use as a sustain pedal. As a novelty or as a toy, this product could be pretty cool. But it's not worth $60. As a learning tool for beginner drummers, this digital drum set won't be much help (unless you're actively trying to discourage your kid from playing drums). If you're considering this product as a real instrument that you might be able to use for small gigs like open mic nights, you should think again. Could you make it work? Of course you can. But there are far better ways to do it.I realize that this review is pretty negative and I apologize for that. If this product was priced at $30, I would have a completely different opinion. But for $60, I think that this product just isn't worth the money.

Great for the aspiring drummer
The media could not be loaded. This is a fun drum kit. It is being used by my 10 y.o. Daughter and 7 y.o. Son, both of whom are planning to take drum lessons at school when they hit 5th grade. There are 5 built in drum kits - pop, rock, Latin, edm, and percussion. It is rechargeable via micro usb. There are also 3.5mm jacks - an input for an external audio player, and an output for headphones. Basic earbuds and a 3.5mm aux cable are included in the package, as well as the USB charging cable. It also includes a pair of unmarked, basic wooden drum sticks that are a little bit shorter than standard sticks. In addition to the tabletop pad, there are also two pedals - one for the kick/bass drum, and one for hi-hat cymbals. While this product probably straddles the line between “toy” and “real instrument”, I definitely think it is versatile enough that it could be used for basic home recordings using the headphone out jack.Overall, we are very satisfied with this product, and it has definitely gotten good use by our children.

Your grandkids will LOVE this; their parents may not!
This is a very fun drum set and perfect for your grandkids that are going through the sound making stage! It is a nice compact drum set that is very portable. It is cool in that it has a built in battery, so if it is charged, they can play it anywhere. It is simple to set up and play. Your kids/grandkids will love it! It may get on some adults nerves at times, but, it also will keep the kids entertained. I would highly recommend this drum set. It is fun!
