Arrived on time. Did what I wanted which is great, I didn't put them through a tough time but they are sharp and cut well.

As the title says does the job and good range of sizes

Honestly, these are completely fine for the cost of the set, which was £21.99 when I ordered them. They aren’t the sharpest drill bits in the world but they don't have any rough spots or chips. Right out of the box I was having zero issues with them on general purpose DIY materials.As a quick test I chucked these into both my cordless and pillar drill, neither of which had issues and they chewed through chipboard, pine and pvc without skipping a beat. Sometimes I had to back the drill out a little and clear the chips but besides that these made a surprisingly clean hole. They do cause a fair bit of break out on the backside without a sacrificial piece of material under the workpiece.These feel a lot easier to use in a cordless drill than typical spade bits as the self-tapping tip does a great job of centering and guiding the bit while in use. You just have to keep the drill bit reasonably straight to prevent the workpiece from grabbing onto the bit.I sadly don't have any hardwood on hand to test with these, but I suspect these wont fare too well on the harder stuff over an extended period of time. Maybe occasional and careful use on hardwood won't be problematic but I've seen similarity priced bits snap and bend with the more punishing materials.If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful set of four flute wood bits that will do an acceptable job with the softer materials and lighter use, these are worth considering. If you’re looking for something able to take the punishment of trade work and frequent enthusiast work then you may want to invest in the big named brand versions instead. At the end of the day this kit of 7 pieces costs the same as one or two of the irwin or armeg branded bits.

These bits are as good as the beavers for 10 times the cost of these. Def recommended

Handy little 7 piece drill bit set that i picked up to use around the home & at work in my cordless drill.Being an electrician i have to drill quite a lot of joists on some jobs for running out my cables so thought i'd pick up this auger set & give them a try.So far after almost a month of use & countless holes i've been really impressed with them.I've used most of the different bits in the set now for various things but they all still seem as sharp as they did when i first got them.From a performance point of view i would definitely say these drill bits do drill through the joists a lot easier than regular style spade drill bit which is mostly down to their design.Thanks to its self tapping tip & the fluted design of the blades these bits pull themselves through the wood like a screw which means they drill so much faster & easier as you don't need to use as much pressure to push them through the wood.Another good design feature is the hex shaft, which makes it so it's less likely for the bit to slip & spin in the chuck of the drill.In the set you get 7 high-carbon steel auger bits that are 10,16,18,20,22,25 & 35mm in size so there's a drill bit for most of the holes i would typically need to drill on site.Overall i've been really happy with these bits.They've been ideal for what i needed them for, however this set could also be really handy for other trades, woodworking or for general DIY around the home.They seem pretty good quality for the price & i would definitely consider buying some more later down the line.
