Excellent Value and Performance.
I've been using the excellent originator Minosharp units for years and find this to be at least as good, maybe better and definitely cheaper plus they come with an extra set of abrasive sharpening wheels to boot, all at a lower price! Can't speak for long-term performance/durability in comparison (don't see any difference so far yet) and I'm glad I tested them out. I hope others will try them too for comparison. Recommended

Great Value
I have been very pleased with this sharpener. I do have one problem or question. I want to purchase some more grinder wheels. Are they available for separate purchase?Definitely would recommend this sharpener.

Dull… very dull
Yeah… didn’t really worked, the stone break in the first try and doesn’t really sharp my knives

So Easy to Use
As a person who is not a professional chef I was shocked to see how easy to use this sharpener is. I will no longer have to take my knives sharpened. It was so reasonably priced. It has already saved me money.

Below Average Sharpener
It takes way too long to sharpen a knife. Compact and easy to use but would not recommend.

Easy to use and highly recommended!
Finally! I finally have a knife sharpener that doesn't slide all over the place! The handle is wide and tall enough for even the biggest hands but still fits comfortably in smaller hands. No more running your knuckles into the counter, or having to balance the sharpener on the edge. It is sturdy, doesn't need a lot of pressure to keep in place, and overall just a great option! I love how easy it is to use and how you don't need to know anything about proper knife sharpening to get results. Move from left to right, and the last section is for scissors only. Easy peasy! The water reservoir is easy to use and the plastic cover keeps water from splashing around. And! It gets my kitchen knives super sharp! 10/10 would recommend.

The first order of this item was missing the cover.
I think this is a good product for people who have difficulty using a whetstone however, I was very disappointed that the cover, which guides the knife onto the stones was missing from my package.

Excellent value sharpener
This is a well made sharpener that is formed from robust plastics. Rotating ceramic sharpeners have several advantages over v shaped mandrels. They sharpening the blade along the edge with a honing action similar to a whetstone. They use a water bath to clean and cool the edge. But they are not technique sensitive unlike a whetstone! Just use light pressure. This sharpener has three grades of stone: corse, medium and finer - i.e. not very fine. I suggest that you use a old knife for the first use to dress the stones before you use it on your best knives. It quickly sharpens blunt blades up to a workable standard. It can’t polish the blade like a very fine whetstone does. Hence finishing on a fine whetstone is required if you want razor sharp. But the edge is easily good enough for most food prep and it is quick. This sharpener offers outstanding value at about half the price of similar alternatives and uniquely comes with a spare set of ceramic wheels! It also sharpens scissors. It’ outstanding value!!

Good value knife sharpener
I have a Japanese Damascus knife. Unlike standard steel knives, the blade has to be sharpened at between 10 to 15 degrees. Ordinary steel sharpeners will damage a Damascus blade. I wanted an easy cheap and effective knife sharpener that had water and ceramic wheels. This sharpener is ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok. The wheels run down too quickly for my needs. I am going to switch to the traditional method of using stones. This is more labour intensive and takes more time, as you have to soak the stones in water first. But I think the results will be better. I will only recommend this sharpener, if people understand it's limitations. They give you a set of spare wheels, but when they go, you have to buy a completely new sharpener.
