I earlier wrote a negative review of this because the shelves, holding ultra lightweight dvds, sagged. I had someone else put the shelves together, and they and I missed the fact that the instructions say to place extra shelf supports in the back. I added these after the seller informed me of this. These tend to tilt the shelves a bit forward but decrease the sag. All in all, the shelves are much more expensive than others (such as ones that carry over 500 dvds, whereas these carry 200). The less expensive ones, while not as sturdy as a case, have nice sturdy and thicker shelves that in no wise bend. I would suggest the manufacturer of this item skip the extra shelf supports and just get some cheap plywood or other wood that can support lightweight dvds.

It was rather more expensive than other towers, but once i started putting it together, i realized why. It is very sturdy and well put together. Looks nice in my living room. Easy to construct and enough room for 6 rows of dvds. Like the large numbers of holes to adjust shelves. Thank you gor shipping on time.

the shelve unit itself is. very nice looking.. easy to assemble ect... but the problem is the shelves.. wayyy to thin.. I have each shelf filled to the ends with blu rays.. and they sag BADLY....the shelfs needs to be double the thickness.. a MAJOR problem with this product.. they give you tiny tabs... to put they holes in the rear and poke thru.. to hold up the sagging shelves.. BUT... those pins arent big ..or long..enough to push thru enough.. to hold up shelves.. . if you are filling the shelves like I am..do NOT buy this... shelves are way to flimsy.. very disappointed...

I bought this item in white. I chose this particular item because I thought it was more attractive than other utilitarian media storage units.When I opened the box to assemble the unit I thought it was flimsy, but it did initially look nice once put together. However, the shelves are only thick paperboard and within a day of holding DVDs began to bow. This makes it look indisputably cheap and ugly.I like the style, but it can't perform the function for which it was designed without deforming. I will need to replace this unit with something more sturdy, so this was a terrible investment.
