LEKI Gummipuffer

I was a little worried having read several less than positive reviews however I think they are brilliant.I have just completed several hikes (total distance circa 70 miles) in Switzerland over varying terrains ranging from grass tracks, roads and rocky trails and the Silent spikes pass with flying colours. They do take a bit of adjusting to especially if you are used to rubber buffers as initially they did slip a little but I soon got used to they and they are perfect PLUS none of the little spikes came out which others experienced. I would certainly recommend them.Four months later (and circa 100 miles) and have lost two of the metal spikes.Six months later and one has lost all but two spikes. The other is still good so there must be a problem in Production, i.e. a batch issue.Update - I purchased a second set hoping that the problems with one of the first order was down to a "batch" problem but alas one of the latest set has already lost some of the spikes so sadly I must conclude that they are just not fit for purpose and will not be buying anymore. This is unusual for Leki products as the poles are outstanding.

I have used them 3 times so far and am very pleased with them nice not to have the noise for myself and others.

So well used for a year and does the job well. Only gave it four stars as one peg fell out. They work very well.

These are quite simply amazing!! Wish I'd known about them before. We do alot of walking, I'm in my 30's & only use poles as I have parkinsons (they make me walk symmetrically) these bungs give really good grip on slippery surfaces ie mud, but don't drive you nuts tiptapping on roads! Love em. . Super speedy delivery too!

The rubber buffer for use with Leki sticks is brilliant for most terrains. It grips well to loos surfaces and is not too noisy on firm ones.

I use my cane every day as a walking stick , I was going through the cheaper softer tips at an amazing rate , this tip is a hard wearing godsent . I can’t recommend them highly enough ..

I bought this for use in mixed snow & ice conditions in Scandinavia. I use a Leki Wanderfreund walking stick as a cane, which works exceptionally well. The basic rubber tip is worse than useless in icy conditions as expected, no surprise there. The normal Leki carbide tip on the pole is a tad too aggressive for going in and out of buildings. I bought this as a compromise. Good news is that is works great. It works exactly as studded winter tires do on your car and works well/ not well in the same conditions. The bad news is that all the studs fell out in a few days of normal use, so I will be returning it.
