The Little Mermaid Read-Along Storybook and CD Paperback – July 2, 2013

We keep adding to our collection of Read-Along storybooks; my daughter (3.75 years old) loves them! When we are at home, we use a boombox to listen to the CD, but I also like taking these in the car. My daughter can turn the pages of the book on her own when she hears the chime and loves following along with the story. She really enjoys hearing the voices and dialogue from the movies she knows so well.It may seem counterintuitive, but I especially like to use these books to introduce Disney movies before my daughter watches them. In the case of The Little Mermaid, for example, I wasn't sure if she would be nervous about the big storm and Ursula. Listening to the basic plot and becoming familiar with characters and voices before watching the movie seems to help my daughter feel more comfortable when confronting some of the "scary stuff" in the movie. She already knows what is going to happen, so I think it eases the tension a bit. That said, she still LOVES to listen to the audiobooks often even after she has seen a movie!Note: The Disney storybooks vary in length; this one is 12:02 in length.

Great product! Some voices sound a little different than what’s heads in the movie, but overall a great listen and our daughter loves it.

My grandson is not quite three and he was glued to this read-along audiobook. The voices, music clips, and sound effects were very well done, and the storybook pictures were beautiful. My only wish is that they did these as hardback books.

Let's face it. Daddy cannot always be available to read books to his little mermaid. When I am, I do. However, when I am not around to do so, these books are a great way for my kids to read about their own princesses, monsters, sea creatures, and mermaids!A cheapy boom box also purchased on amazon and they are good to go. It also helps to teach my daughter to read, as she is looking for the words she hears even when I cant be there to read to her. We read the books together when we can, but in the meantime, these books are fun for her. Sometimes when I am feeling lazy, we listen to them together instead of me reading!

My niece really enjoyed this book and just loved that the CD read it to her. The only minor complaint is that I wish it was made with a little bit sturdier material. It seemed to bend very easily, so not sure that it will last until her sibling is ready to use it. Otherwise it is a great product and my niece really enjoyed it !

Book is well-edited to tell the story in just 12 minutes, without sacrificing much of the plot. Wish they had just a snippet of some of the songs, but the narration is lovely - if you like the narrator on Planet Earth, you’ll like this. I ripped the CD & added to my kid’s iPod, so he can use the book on the plane too.

Cute story. I read the story to my daughter first and then we do the read out loud CD in the car. My daughter has followed along in this book several times and enjoys it every time. Story lasts about 15 minutes.

The Little Mermaid Read-Along Storybook and CD is fantastic! We love CD read-alongs, and they're hard to find these days. We have a couple of CD players still, and this set is a hit in our household. The story and music are engaging, making it a fun and nostalgic experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommend for any Little Mermaid fan!

I haven't actually read or played this CD yet as I ordered quite a few for my two baby grandsons for Christmas. I did however read and listen to Aladdin along with my auntie. We thought it was absolutely brilliant. You couldn't help but listen to it the whole way through. I am so glad I ordered as many as I did. I know these will be cherished for years.

J ai voulu le mettre à mon fils de 2ans et demi mais certaines images sont à mon sens un peu trop violante pour son âge et certaines pages sont difficile à expliquer.Pour autant, les images sont superbes et j adore cette collection de livre avec CD en anglais

Le ha encantado a mi hijo de 3 años. Me ha gustado mucho porque incluye el CD e imágenes preciosas de la película. Hay libros más gruesos y mejores pero por el precio que tiene creo que merece la pena y se puede transportar a todas partes. Es uno de sus favoritos.
