Amber Reading Light + Red Light. Giftable Blue Light Blocking Book Light For Reading in Bed

I like this reading light so much that I have purchased it multiple times - once for me, again for my husband, and a third time for a baby shower gift. What I love most about it is that it is an amber colored light, so using it at night doesn't hurt your eyes or cause you to mess up your circadian rhythm. We use it for both a reading light and a nursing/diaper changing light. I use the dimmest setting for nursing and getting baby ready for bed and the brightest setting for diaper changes. For these purposes, I keep the light clamped onto the bassinet and twisted up towards the ceiling. It perfectly illuminates the room without making it too bright.The battery on this thing lasts ages! I use it every night. Sometimes I forget and leave it on for an hour or more when not on use and I seriously only have to charge it maybe once every 10 days or so. It is also really durable. I've been using the same light for over 2 years.The only negative is that the light turns on by clicking the light instead of a switch. In every day use, I love that. The only time this has been an issue is when I've traveled with it and the light got turned on in my bag and the battery was almost dead when I opened my bag that night. I wish there was a safety-off switch or something for travel. The clicking to turn off or on the light can also be slightly noisy when you are trying to be quiet around a sleeping baby. If it is on the dim setting, you have to click it three more times to turn it off. It's not the biggest negative. My baby has only woken up from the clicking once or twice and was definitely not in a deep sleep. I definitely recommend this light, even with the cons I mentioned. If you plan on traveling with this light in your bag, I just suggest taking the charger with you just in case.

I find these lamps to be overall well designed, providing great light, easy to charge. The lamp can rest on a desk, or clamp to a book. You can press and hold the button to dim the light further.My issue with the lamp is: it clicks on amber, then red; and the third click goes back to amber which i find jarring. Why not just have two clicks?Also, the light no longer charges after 1.5 years. It would be better if it lasted longer!

Did not pay attention to the size of the light when I ordered it, so I originally thought I could clip it on my headboard and read from there, but it barely clips on my headboard and doesn't provide much light from that distance. However, this wasn't an issue, I simply just clip it onto the back cover of my book and the light is perfect for nighttime reading.Charges fairly quickly and seems to hold its charge for quite some time.NOTE: The only thing I'll say is, the directions say to wait for the charging light to turn green, and it never does. Once it's fully charged, it simply stops blinking.

Great job. It’s exactly what you think it is. Red light with varying brightness and really good battery life. Helps with wanting to read but also wanting to sleep.

I purchased this light about 6 months ago, and while I was initially happy with it, it now will not charge or turn on. I've had to charge it maybe 2-3 times over this period, using it less than daily, so it doesn't seem it should have burned out already.

The battery on this thing lasts FOREVER. When it does need recharging, it charges fully in such a short amount of time — well under an hour! The neck stays right where you put it and doesn’t flop or sag no matter how much you adjust. The three different light settings are incredibly useful. I liked this so much that after a couple months using it nightly and traveling with it, I bought a second one!Only downside is that where it clips on sometimes leaves greyish-black smudge marks on my book pages or inside my book covers. I think it might be the rubber gripper pad part of the clip doing it? It doesn’t bother me too much, but if you have a book you’re trying to keep particularly pristine, be careful! Might be worth sticking some pieces of scrap paper between your book and the light’s clip/gripper part when you use it to avoid the issue.

We use this as a light for our kids in the car. It gives off a good amount of light, but not distracting for the driver. Great alternative to a bright light!

I am trying to manage insomnia with low lights before bed and a non blue light for reading. This seems to work. Easy to charge and the charge lasts.

una lamparita flexible, por su gancho puedo colocarlo ala orilla del buro y iluminar la zona de lectura en cama, la luz en color rojo hace resaltar las letras por la noche, no pensaba que tenia eso efecto, me ayuda a poder visualizar mejor las letras, leo por la noches la bibilia, y me ayuda mucho a poder desintoxicarme de la luz azul de los dispositivos electrónicos, su puerto usb C hace que sea aun mas amigable con mi entorno porque prácticamente mi teléfono y mi iPad comparten el mismo puerto. la batería dura bastante, viene con su bolsita por si toca salir de viaje por si quieres leer en el trayecto, en resumen me ha gustando, supera mis espectativas de las lamparas tradicionales, por su combinacion entre ambar, calido y rojo, su cuerpo es flexible y tiene buena pinta de que va durar por mucho tiempo

Not everything you buy lives up to your expectation, but this does. Small and lightweight, the red spectrum is bright enough to easily read by, but not too bright. The orange spectrum also works great. Not sure how the battery life is as I haven't used it that long, but due to the low power usage, should last a long time. Well worth the cost.

Perfect for the bathroom and bedroom in the evenings when you need a little bit of light but don't want to mess with your circadian rhythm. I use the red light mode when I want to do a bit of reading in the evening.

Very well made. Wide range of shades and brightness levels for all lighting conditions, from barely-on to fully illuminated. The clip is sturdy, flexible and has a rubber grip. Plus it can just sit flat on a surface if you want it to. I love that it charges with USB type-C. Much better than I was expecting for the price, 100% worth it.Update, July 13: A few months after purchasing this, I found that it wouldn't charge. I reached out to the seller, who informed me that this device will not charge with a USB type C-to-C cable, only an A-to-C cable (such as the one included with the product). I am very happy to have this information and that my book light is working again. I hope this helps someone else, because I did not see this in the product description.
