Oassuose USB C to RJ45 Ethernet Adapter for Chromecast with Google TV, Fast and Reliable Internet Access

I wanted to add wired Ethernet to a Google Chromecast with Google TV and didn’t feel like paying top dollar for the Google adaptor. This works just as well; the only downside is that it mounts close to the streaming device, so you have to run an Ethernet cable to the back of the TV instead of at the power plug end like the Google solution. Other than that, this works identically (I have the Google one too) and it is truly plug-and-play. I got this unit through the Vines program at no cost in exchange for my honest review. I liked it so much I bought another one for another TV. That’s how highly I recommend it!

Works as intended. My Chromecast is significantly faster to load media once I added the ethernet connection with this adapter.

Worked for about a week, paired with a chromecast 4k. Then it just stopped. Power cycled it and it worked again for a few minutes before stopping again. Rinse and repeat. You get what you pay for. I returned this and ordered one that's a few dollars more that's been working flawlessly.

When I installed this device my google Chromecast 4k works better and more fast speed.

I am posting this here for people that use the 2025 version of the Roku Streaming Stick Plus (models 3840X, 3830X). The Oassuose USB C to RJ45 Ethernet Adapter works for that purpose (you’ll also need a USB-C cable plug into the TV’s USB port). Note: If you have an existing micro-USB ethernet adapter that works with your older Roku device (Roku Express 4k+, etc.), you can update it to use with a female Micro USB to male USB-C adapter. I prefer the older micro-USB ethernet adapter style using the micro-USB to USB-C adapter. Also, plugging the USB directly into the TV’s USB port powers up the TV if you don’t want to deal with an AC power outlet.

I am using this on a Google Chromecast with Google TV HD (not 4K) as I was having issues with using bluetooth headphones while also using wifi. So far it has been working pretty well. Build quality seems fine. It's not super heavy or anything and I don't feel like it's going to fall apart. I simply connected this device, disabled wifi and it works well.

I had my doubts, but it really works great. It's completely plug and play. Our wifi isn't great, and my kiddo's school chrome book isn't great either. As a hail Mary pass, I thought I'd use this to connect via ethernet, and I was surprised that it worked flawlessly and easily. No set-up. Just hook it up and go!
