Not sure if one of the measurements is accurate, although close enough - tried it with a couple of cookbooks of different thicknesses - bit of a faff, but I managed to sort it but haven't actually used it properly for it's purpose, so I'll reserve judgement till I have. Might be a good idea to measure the books you're thinking of using it for before buying - widest possible span of open book is about 49 cm, although a book that size might be too heavy for the stand? Not the most expensive stand, or the cheapest - good value for the price.

The holding bar is wide enough to easily hold a book open. The fact that it is stiff to move is a good thing. There are two moveable side arms intended for much wider material. What I like is that the ends can be adjusted and hold my paperback book open. This is a wonderful addition should the holding bar become loose, although that definitely won't be happening any time soon.

I purchased this stand to hold my music book while practicing. It's a good job.

Handy that it folds away when not in use as my desk space is limited

This product is very disappointing. Arms are very unstable and do not stay in place to support bound document.
