Excited girls! soak feed so powdery ingredients stick to grains for no waste.
This is a great feed. The girls love it, the company is local to my PNW home, best found price plus no shipping all add to the best pick for me.I agree with the reviews that say mostly powdery. Looks like its the leavings of the grains n seeds as well as looks to me there is kelp, calcium, maybe DE... not sure. It would be best to see the ingrecients list but i cant find it here or on their website. This should minus a star but its probably just me who cant find it.Anyway, fermenting solves the what to do with the powder issue. I feed scraps in the moring and i make their food for afternoon. Just add water with a dash of ACV with the mother. It will soak up and stick everything together so no waste. They eat every tiny bit. They get super excited for their afternoon nummys. Another fun option for the powder is to gather it add lard or cocnut oil and make a hanging suet once in a while for fun for winter boredom. You can let it sit for 24 hrs or so to ferment a bit more if u like.Waste is a big deal to me. I am a scrimper. Cant afford otherwise.Try a bag. Im so glad i did.

Chicken Feed!
Our regular chicken scratch was out of stock and we needed a fill-in while we waited for a back order. We came across this stuff online. It was a little more than we usually pay, but it came on time, quickly, right when we needed it. It wasn't out of stock. The ingredients were of a high quality. The chickens seemed to like it. And the bags were easy enough to get into and to store. Overall, everyone was pleased.

Whole, minimally processed good stuff for your yard birds
My tiny flock of Prairie Blubells were raised on this feed. I moved to Mississippi and was on a tight budget for a few months and so I bought a cheaper equivalent feed from Tractor Supply. Then, they stopped laying altogether, losing feathers and not due to molt. I bit the bullet and bought another bag, with the (perhaps a little conspiracy) theory that the tractor supply feed was the cause. After 2 months of this feed, my hens have once again started laying in abundance! AND in the middle of a freeze. They are what they eat, and this feed is worth every penny!

Great feed but too pricey
This is a great feed with lots of added ingredients that benefit layers. But I can only give it four stars because of how pricey it is here on Amazon. I found it in a 40-pound bag for $34 at my local feed store. I also add black oil sunflower seeds to the mix. My chickens love it.

The best.
The best feed.My girls love this stuff.I ferment it - which involves 3 cups in a container & covering it with water you’ve let rest on the counter for a day or two - stir & add more water as it absorbs it. Feed in a day or two. Your lady birds will LOVE IT.Fermented feed is good for them (probiotics) & it makes the feed stretch further.

A little pricey but we think it’s worth it
Our chickens love this feed. It is a little pricey so we try to make it last by making a mash out of it. I also appreciate that the food comes in a strong paper bag rather than the plastic mesh bags.

Hen heaven
My birds LOVE this!My hens really enjoy this food.No complaints here.I feel like we fly through it but it’s worth the $!My neighbor also uses it but more as a treat combined with pellet food. If you’re on a tighter budget that’s also an option!
