My son loved getting this for a gift! He enjoys changing the colors out with the remote and watching it at night when he can’t fall asleep. The brightness adjustment is great also on the remote so it doesn’t blind you at night.My only recommendation for users is to make sure it is plugged in and not just not running off batteries. They don’t last that long, especially when your child forgets to set the timer and the lights are going all night.🤦🏻‍♀️

This is exactly what my son wanted! He loves axolotls…and afraid of the dark. It’s bright or dim with multiple settings. We had a different (brand) one that stopped working but this one is so much better. Bonus, I can interchange the figure plate from our other base that stopped working.

The gnome light was bought for me (adult) as a gift since I adore gnomes. This light/lamp has many color options, intensities and additional options continuous color change and white light base on/off and timer which are all nice options to have in one device. I chose to use regular 3 AA batteries rather than the USB recharge option and I have honestly been surprised as to how long the batteries have lasted in this device (average a few hours on most days and have not changed them over the last month and a half). Also all lighting options appear available to select on remote or on device. I don’t really use timer option but could see how useful it would be. The only disadvantage is I’m not wowed by the 3D effect. The line graphic of the gnome is drawn to appear 3D. It’s nicely done but my expectation was unrealistic- want rotating hologram got stationary drawn 3D perspective on acrylic plate. But, with that in mind for what it is, it can be a fun and cute nightlight or decorative lamp for any age.

When we first purchased this item the remote was peeled apart and not working. We had it replaced and within a few hours the remote stopped working again. The remote is definitely not made well. We will probably return it again. It could be used without the remote but you don’t have all the options you would have if the remote worked. Do not recommend as a gift for someone else.
