Major Problems in American History Since 1945

One of the worst books I’ve rented from Amazon hands down. The spine was pretty damaged and it has a lot of writing and highlighting in it. I just hope all of the pages are still there 🫠. Great content other than that tho 😭

Amazing history book. Written in small clusters of essays and informational sections, it is an easy and entertaining read. Information chunking reduces passive reading and readers are able to retain more information. I LOVE this book, and if all history books were layed out in this manner, we would have a lot more history fans.

Had to read this for a class but was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The topics are serious and sometimes heartbreaking but the subject matter needs to be discussed and the articles do a good job at grabbing your attention and bringing the issues to light. Overall I think this should be required reading for any US history course. Very good.

I loved this series of books as a grad student and found them extraordinarily useful. Too bad they are apparently out of print...

Bought it for a class I am taking. Good read. A+++ to the shipper for quick shipping.

This book came in poor condition (see attached photo), with spine badly worn out and pages becoming detached. I urge that you not rent this item any further. I had to use it quite a bit for a class and it was difficult to do assignments while having to handle it so carefully to keep it from falling apart completely. On the plus side, the book itself was an excellent collection of essays and document excerpts covering modern American history. I recommend using it.
