Avonstar Classics Range Letter Box Catcher British Made

A compact letter box, strong, stylish and roomy. No lid is a great advantage as, with my previous lidded box, the letters got entangled and did not slide easily into the box.

The post cage is fine, fit over the letterbox OK, was easy to put up and it catches my mail. Finish could be a little better, paint hasn't covered in a few places but it's hardly noticeable.

I wanted something to prevent post scattering after coming through the letterbox. It was easy enough to screw into the door frame and does the job.

The Avonstar letter catcher was bought because my lurcher has a pathological dislike of anyone delivering mail. It is a well made, gimmick free product which fit my ten inch wide letterbox perfectly with 2 screws and plastic plugs although 4 of these items were generously provided.It ought to keep the postman's/postlady's fingers safe from attack.

Good well made, neat ,easy to fit

Make sure you have a large hallway or measure up. It's not pretty but it is a basket that catches letters and prevents them from falling to the floor. It is not the sturdiest as it arrived with a bit of a dent/ bend on one side but that is likely to have happened in transit.

This letter cage is of a very high quality. It is the quality one would expect from a British manufacturer - which sadly over time has somehow deteriorated. I ordered it noting my specifications to affix it to the 10 inch size letter box. It fits perfectly below the inside and is sturdy. The quality is excellent. Fitting it was quick and easy though I had to think many times before actually fixing it with the screws provided to the uPVC door.

Eigentlich ein sehr gutes Produkt, Qualität etc. Passt, Versand war auch schnell.Der einzige wehrmutstropfen ist, dass Zeitungen oder Prospekte oder DINA4 Wurfsendungen nicht in den Korb fallen, da der Korb nicht tief genug ist. Die Sachen bleiben also im Schlitz hängen....Der eigentliche Sinn, dass die Post nicht mehr am Boden liegt wird aber trotzdem erreicht... ;-)

Gutes Material

So habe ich mir das erwartet: Man bekommt eine tadellose, solide Qualität. Andere Dinger aus dünnem Draht oder Plastik oder Stoff habe ich durch. Das passt nun.

Klar, die angegebenen Maße sollten einen Hinweis geben, ob der Artikel groß, und vor allem, genug ist. In den Briefkasten eingesteckte Zeitungen können aufgrund des Winkels (!) jedoch nicht in den Behälter fallen. Sie bleiben schräg stehend stecken. Für (kurze) Briefe geeignet, mehr nicht.
