You only need 1.0mm for lighting, 1.5mm if you have longer runs but as I only had one switch and one light this was adequate. Technically you could run this to a power outlet as the cable can support 8amps running through it if you’re only going to be powering some low powered devices, but don’t risk it because someone in your home will attempt to plug something that draws more than that, it’s just something that happens. For outlets get the 2.5mm. This 1.0mm cable for my lighting was great. It was easy to work with, flexible enough to put around corners and in trunking to not cause issues, easy to strip and re-sleeve, it was a joy to work with. Not had any issues so far with brittleness as others have mentioned, it’s been reliable so far and I only needed 10 metres so was great value. 10 metres arrived and it was correctly 10 metres. I can highly recommend this cable. Great value for money and easy to work with.

Solid wire. The plastic sheeve seemed a little brittle and flakey.

Quaility cable which is really intended for professional installation in most jurasticions. Ideal for hobs (induction hobs may need heavier cabling such as 10mm2), cookers. 2 metres is an ideal lenght for cooker/hob installation. Good product and fast delivery. Would recommend
