Camelbak Women's L.U.X.E. Hydration Pack

I got the green pack - it is not quite as light and bright as the picture but it's not far off. I really appreciate the bit of padding on the part that rests against your back but I wouldn't mind a bit more padding on the shoulder straps. The chest strap (the buckle between the shoulder straps) is a little high and there is tons of excess strap with no place to go with it. The lower (stabilizing) belt that goes across the stomach is not very long, so bigger women may have an issue. I do enjoy the fact that it doesn't come up so high as to irritate my neck in the back and is short enough to not inhibit my movements. I also like the four compression buckles that keep everything compact - they can be loosened for more room or tightened to reduce drag. The storage is a little limited but it's fine if you are just doing day hikes; I would love the easy-access pockets that Platypus offers (with little pockets that sit on your side, attached to the lower (cross-stomach) belt) so I could access a camera or something else quickly and easily. Finally, there was no plastic-y taste to the bladder and the bite valve works great with no leaks. I wish the tubing was a little longer though.

Received this package earlier than expected. This camelbak is awesome it has so many compartments yet is not overwhelmingly big. It sits comfortably on my shoulders and back. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a hydration pack for hiking,biking, long walking, concerts, or music festivals.I, personally use this when I go to the Zoo, or music festivals. it it able to hold a full bladder of water (and ice), a small wallet, a cosmetic case, cellphone, a large (DSLR sized) camera, hoodie, all while comfortable resting on my back while I am out. This pack was worth every penny. I am so happy I purchased this particular pack.The gray-ish color is perfect too, it hides the dirt well, and never looks dirty. the new and improved bladder in this pack, makes opening and closing super easy and filling up with water and ice hassle free ice is able to dispense out of an ice machine (via my refrigerator, or a vending machine) with out spilling or not fitting. the opening is extra wide so you never have to worry.Seriously if you are at all considering this pack you need to quit thinking about it and just purchase it already! =]

This backpack has been through it all with me. I bought it about 3 years ago and since then it has been to the top of Kilimanjaro twice (let a friend borrow it once), I use it every time I bike to work on my road bike or mountain bike, has been on the top of 18 14ers in CO, and has stayed resilient on countless hikes. I thought $70 was steep at the time I bought it, but this has more than made itself worthwhile. It fits well, holds my helmet when needed and fits all of my required bike gear (which is why I initially bought it). Super satisfied!

Whether I am on a 60 mile bike ride or a day trip, this is my new best friend. It is very comfortable. It is compact and yet expandable. I am amazed how much I can fit in this bag! The straps (chest and waist) help keep it in place on bike rides/off-roading and the breathable back padding makes it cool and comfortable for an enjoyable ride experience time and time again. The attached reflector is a great safety feature (my rear bike light ran out of battery, but I was at ease because of the bright reflector on the bag!). The hydration pouch keeps you hydrated throughout long trips/adventures and is easy to fill, use and clean. This CamelBak is lightweight yet durable! It is a bit pricey but so worth the investment!

I bought this pack two years ago to use for forestry and geology courses. I would be out in the field for a few hours and it was absolutely perfect. I was able to carry all the essentials for class including notebooks, measuring instruments, maps...you name it. The bright purple is also great for visibility. It has been used for years now in the field, as a camp counselor and finally as an employee for a land trust and it is still in great shape. I've recommended it to several friends and they have not been disappointed either. It is durable, bright, and perfect for a 3-4 hour hike.

this is the perfect size pack for a day trip. i do wish that it would have a few more features--mesh pockets on the sides, some way to secure the tube so it doesn't get all dirty and gross, and maybe a small pocket in the belt. anyways, i'm willing to deal w/ the lack of those features in lieu of the compression pocket and overall perfect size

This pack is exactly what I was looking for. The two straps are perfectly located and doesn't rub wrong. There are just enough compartments for what I want to bring for an afternoon of cross country skiing, hiking, or biking. Not only can you fill the water resevoir up but I can fit a lunch and any multi-tools that I need for whatever outdoor activity I'm doing. The color is pretty too:)The water bladder is easy to take out and clean.I'm very happy with this purchase and it's a great price than buying it on the Camelbak website.

I finally had to retire my old smaller CamelBak once I got a dog that routinely goes hiking with me. This pack is compact while still having plenty of space for all the things she needs. I looked at other brands, but no company has the attention to detail that CamelBak does. They are worth every penny you spend. They really have thought of EVERYTHING for this pack from storage to personalizing the fit. It makes it comfortable, even for a 14 mile hike :)
