Vent-Axia 100T

Very speedily delivered, pleased with that. The fan itself I bought to replace one that had packed up. I was very careful to ensure that I got exactly the same model as existed so that it would be an easy one-for-one swop out. So, like other reviewers I was very annoyed to discover that despite my care in getting the right model, they have changed the design and I also had to fit the fan upside down!It works just fine and is quite quiet so pleased with the product, it just looks silly with the writing updide down. Why oh why Mr. Vent Axia do you feel fit to completely change the internal design so that the cable input is now at the top!

Replaced my old one fitted fine but had to install upside down so ok if you don’t mind the Vent Axia logo being upside down, hence only getting 4 stars

These extractor fans need a bit more thought applying to the design. The external flaps rattle in the wind and are noisy. This keeps everyone awake at night. They need to have flaps that open when the device is switched on and close when the device is switched off and they need the ability to withstand wind when they are switched off.

I was a Vent-Axia fan fan before purchasing this, having had 30 years good service from our kitchen fan and still going strong.Good points about this fan: it is very slim, almost flush with the wall, and it seems to produce a good flow. Quiet it is not.Bad point: makes a horrible whining noise - not totally unfamiliar, I have heard it in pub 'loos. I wondered if my purchase was faulty, so I rang up Vent-Axia and had them listen to it - and got told that it wasn't their quietest product. They recommended a different model, a few decibels quieter, but they recommended one that had an electrothermic shutter which almost doubled the price unnecessarily.I am now considering buying an  Epicair Silent Timer Fan  or a  Silent Discreet Bathroom Fan 100mm with Timer  both of which have decibel ratings considerably below that of the Vent-Axia range.

Our old one of the same make packed up after 5 years so this is the ideal replacement fits perfectly. However, it is a bit noisier than the last one!

As an electrician i have installed every make of fan you can think of.The results vary greatly.The saying you get what you pay for applies.I have installed the lower end of the market and have been very disappointing at the complete lack of extraction and i mean zero.You cant afford to scrimp on cost when it comes to this sort of thing as damp is a worse evil.This fan is the best of the four inch range,and apart from expellair i would use nothing else.One last thing amazon sells it £15 cheaper than an electrical wholesaler.

Only small complaint is that this model's conections are slightly different to the Vent Axia it replaced which means it now hangs upside down, but it works and the service was good.

I bought this extractor fan and it was faulty didn't last a week, according to the electrician it the motor was faulty. Had to buy another one. A complete waste of my time and money.
