Fitted Franke Eiger tap - did the job
This just replaced a rusted-out, 14 year old, similar original fixing on our Franke Eiger kitchen tap. The M8 thread fitted well, and it has a Philips screwdriver socket on one end (not obvious from the description) to allow the rod to be tightened into the base of the tap using a screwdriver. It was long enough (80mm) to go through a fairly thick quartz worktop and the 10mm nut fitted fine onto the thread and clamped the tap to the worktop as expected. I can't speak for the longevity of the metal, but if I get a few years out of it I'll be happy. This was the second purchase as another item (from a different supplier) only had a 60mm thread which wasn't long enough. This one was fine though.
