I have only used it once on my cat. The clippers are not overly loud and easy to adjust. If you think that you can just zip through a hair mat… think again. But they do a great job of not nicking or cutting the cat. On one clump of hair I didn’t realize that I was along her skin. The other clipper we have for the dog would have nicked her not these. Just slow going.5/19/23 update: is going pretty well battery has a good life on it. Still going strong used it about 12 times.

I bought this to shave my poor cats mats. He is older and can't quite groom his long hair as well. I used it today. At first I wasn't sore if it was going to work but once I got the angle and movement right it went well. It's not too loud. I could tell my cat wasn't fond of the sound but he dealt with it. He is already pretty good though and I can trim his nails etc without issues so I don't know how it will affect other animals. The shaver also came with scissors which seemed pretty sharp when I was trying to cut at the mat. But one of the best things that I didn't expect was the comb that came with it. It's metal and looks unassuming, but it has been the best comb out brush that I've ever used on my Boxer collie. I've never so easily gotten so much hair out of her and her butt fluff. Definite added bonus!

These trimmers are really good. The only negative thing I can say is the button to turn it on and off is not in a good spot. I kept pushing it while holding the trimmer. Other than that I recommend them.

I LOVE my fur baby but as she gets older grooming has become a challenge for her. So with a quick shave she gets to feel clean and free from any painful matted hair. I did set it on a lower setting to reduce the noise as she is very skittish. I am very surprised to see that she did let me shave her as much as I was able. I didn't put a colmb on and just used the main blade and didn't have any problem. For a first timer I am very proud of how we both handled it. And she still looks very pretty.

My Maine Coon turns into a rabid racoon during grooming. I have a cat muzzle, leather gloves, all the protective gear to use for the onerous task of brushing her long, easily matted fur. Recently, the mats got to be too much for the comb so I thought I'd try this clipper. I went in expecting a fight, but she loved it. She'll actually sleep through the shaving. I can use it without any protective gear. I am in awe of this thing. It really works and it is truly gentle. Thank you for making this clipper!

Does Not cut through mats. Works 10 times better than the Andis clippers I paid $100 for, but are not quite as good as the Bonve Pet clippers I paid 30 bucks for, which I bought to use on my toy poodle. I guess my hopes were too high. I bought this Oneisall to clip my 17 year old Rag Doll cat who seems to have stopped grooming herself and I am totally disappointed. Scissors that came with it are nothing to write home about either and the cleaning instructions for the clippers are totally lacking. However, if your pet does not have any mats, the clippers will work great.UPDATE: If your pet has mats, it seems that bathing, then spraying TropiClean Sweet Pea Cat & Dog Detangler Spray on seems to help the clippers cut through the mats. I bathed the cat with TropiClean Pet Shampoo, then sprayed her. The next day, her fur was really soft and easier to clip. But I still am disappointed with the Oneisall clippers. My Bonve Pet clippers are pretty old; unfortunately, they are currently unavailable.

I have a half Maine coon with the worst fur, it is very fluffy and soft and does not shed properly, even with constant brushing she mats terribly every year. She is shy so any home grooming has to be done by just me and trying to use a comb and scissors while convincing her to stay still was impossible. I end up having to drag her to the vet yearly for a shave. This razor came today and after a 15min charge we gave it a try. It goes through the hair like butter, no nicks, and took care of a few bad mats before she decided she had enough. Over 50% done and I'm sure I can finish up on the next try. Just saved a days hastle and 100$ at the vet and she is already much more comfortable. It's much quieter than the clippers for my own hair as well!

This trimmer worked very well on my SchnauzShihPoo mix breed. I was able to use the machine straight out of the box without needing to charge it which was really nice. The settings are very straight forward when you look at the blade you can tell if you'll need to add an attachment or not. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the trimmer cut the hair without stalling or clumping with all the thick curls it cut the hair like butter in straight lines. It felt like I was shearing a sheep due to the chunks of hair coming off with ease. Highly recommend this shaver to everyone with dogs & cats.

I love this pet hair shaver. My cat has very long hair and it matts very bad in summer especially. This little shaver is quiet and works great on shaving away the matts. My cat was not bothered by it at all.

These are brilliant clippers . They took care of the Matt's in my cats fur in no time. They are very easy to use . They are very powerful and quiet to not scare the pets. More importantly they are very gentle on the cats skin. Very good purchase and I'm very pleased. Thanks

This has been really great for getting matts off of my older ragdoll. It's pretty quiet too so doesn't spook him.
