Akai Bluetooth Sound Bar, 120 W, 37 inch - Black

I have just purchased this sound bar & which gives better clarity to sound I was getting from my LG/TV speakers, its powerful enough for room I use it in - I do agree with previous comments that remote is rather flimsy & anyone with big hangs would find it awkwardall in all I do feel for the money it is good sound bar as Akai do have reputable name for this type of equipment so not disappointed with the results

DISSAPOINTING, not great quality

I have had a number of soundbars over the last 2 years trying to compete with a Sharp which has now been confined to the TV room upstairs.I have had an LG NB2020 which is a very good soundbar for the money, but has no controls at all enabling the user to switch listening experiences from one type of programme to another.I have had Philips which was absolute rubbish, no better than the TV speakers, and Panasonic that had so many different settings that is was going round in circles, finally dissapearing you know where, and none of the settings were the least bit listenable.12 months ago I purchased my second LG NB2020 because this was the best of the bunch at the price, but because of the lack of adjustment, I thought one last chance to find a good soundbar at a competitive price.I saw the Akai advertised without too many reviews, and thought they are a reputable company manufacturing only Audio/Visual products so it was worth a chance.So pleased I did. This is super piece of kit, has a natural sound on all three settings, has Volume, Bass and Treble controls, and also has a "Learning" mode to allow you to programme your existing remotes to be compatable with the soundbar. It has a built-in FM radio which is, as one would expect, complete rubbish bearing in mind the price of the unit.Over all this has been an excellent buy, so at current prices ( I paid £79.99 from Roys of Wroxham), get one.Only one minor warning. Leave the unit in standby at all times, because if you switch it off, it takes 2-3 minutes to warm up, will not accept signals from the remote and you will assume the batteries are dead!

Good price and uni performs with Tv sound. Adds extra depth and helps me as use hearing aids.

Arrived well within the time specified. A good solid constructed product I'am using an optical cable and the sound is fair to good, it must be said that the sound is far better than that of my television which is an LG (47") . But it somehow has lost the ability to learn which is a function to help cut down on the amount of remote controls that is being used just to watch a tv program. But I'am happy.

Good price. Easy to set up and use

The sound from the sound bar is very good but I find if no sound is transmitted through the sound bar for about 5 minutes it switches itself off this can be annoying.

Excellent product ,glad I bought it and for £73 pounds including delivery it don`t get better than this !.Ordered on Friday after noon delivered on Monday morning.Easy set up. brilliant blue tooth connects to a separate subwoofer ,Great.Replaced my six speaker surround system and all the wires have gone ,except for the subwoofer which gives thatextra ooooomph
