KalaKA-CGE Gloss Mahogany Concert Ukulele with Electronics Natural

Very happy with this instrument. Have recently been playing a Mitchell concert uke purchased for $99, and in comparing the two sound-wise, there isn't much difference. That said, this comes with a built in tuner (which works great) and is acousitc-electric. Plugged in, the Kala concert sounds even sweeter than unplugged. Compared with the Mitchell, the Kala has a longer, narrower neck - which could be an issue for adults with fat-finger syndrome. All-in-all, it's a very well made and sturdy little instrument that's easy to hold, play, and make sound decent. The tuners seem just tight enough and keep the strings tuned pretty well. After I get it broken in, I expect it to stay tuned for much longer, as the strings on this one are new and are still stretching. The mahogany is pretty, the gloss finish makes it even more attractive. I don't think you can go wrong with this ukulele, although there may be other out there that are comparable sound- and playing-wise with a lower price-tag. Getting the built-in tuner and electric plug-in feature is what brings the price up higher, but it's worth it. If you plan on recording or playing onstage where amplification is necessary, this is the right uke for you. If not, you would do as well with a Mitchell concert ukulele and with a lower price tag. That said, I do recommend this - Kala makes a very good instrument. I'm very pleased with mine.

This Ukulele arrived on time, well packaged, and as described. I've been having so much fun learning to play it. Beautiful glossy finish, great craftsmanship, and great acoustic resonance.

sounds great acoustic ! i haven't tried with an amp yet but so far worth the money and made of good material .

When I got it the neck was completely cracked from one side to the other. Returning.

This is a beautiful Uke with a great sound. Unfortunately, I purchased this for both the acoustic sound AND the electric pick-ups. Only 3 of the four strings are transmitted properly (the A string is almost inaudible).I contacted the seller and have not heard back about getting this replaced with a properly functioning model. I bought this specifically for a performance that I will now have to come up with something else if I don’t get a replacement in the next 3 days.Very disappointed. This is most likely the manufacturers fault (Kala) but the seller needs to remedy this.

Kala is known for making good ukuleles but this one had a loud rattling noise in it when I played the uke. Maybe it was just mine but I would definitely check for that.

Bought this for our daughter who sings on cruise ships. She LOVES it - it's beautiful and small to take traveling and performs excellent

This little gem arrived within 3 days, well before the anticipated delivery date. It is nicely set up, with batteries already installed in the pickup. The sound is bright and the action is great.I'm delighted with this purchase!

This lovely instrument exceeded my expectations! It is superbly made, nice gloss finish and has a lovely sweet depth of sound. It is by far the best uke I have tried in this price range. Nice low action too which makes it easier to play. It is well worth the money and I have even converted my partner who wasn't a great fan of ukeleles before ha!

My 13 yrs old loves it quality great just wish came with bag only let down
