Can't Go Wrong With Kindle
This is a fairly intuitive device to use, and it ticks all the boxes I was looking for. The writing and notetaking side of things work well, and as for reading - well, it's a Kindle - the best. I won't pretend it's perfect, nothing is, and it has its little irritations, it's niggles. But in the round, it's a really good device. Full marks to Amazon also, for getting behind their product. They will continue to give guaranteed essential security upgrades for the Kindle Scribe 2022, for at least four years after the item is last available for purchase. And that offer extends to their official refurbished models, at the time of writing. Compare that with Android based E-readers/writers. I owned one, and it seems you blink, and it's no longer supported!I would like it to be a little lighter. But then again, I wouldn't want to forego the Kindle Scribe's impressive battery performance. The weight, at least for me, is more of a minor nuisance than a serious downside. I read one review (I can't recall if it was on Amazon), that said it was 'exhausting' to carry around. Of course, we're all different, and it would be wrong to judge anyone, but it's about the same weight as many a textbook.Getting my Kindle Scribe up and running, was a breeze - a model of streamlined efficiency. This is how all these things should work.I won't list the features and technical aspects, because others have done it far better than I could. But, from a user perspective, this is, as they say, a solid piece of kit.

love the reading 'real estate'
The size of the screen is great for me, a definite improvement on frequent page turns. I don't have problems holding it, using it is comfortable . The ability to make notes is handy but I'm not a huge note taker, for me the big screen is the key factor

My permanent companion
Arrived on time and as described. Plain box but all else in there. I use this item every day. It is superb for note taking, mins last about 8 weeks each. I can also email myself forms and fill them in by hand then email them back completed.Great for reading my books and can Bluetooth audible. What's not to love. Oh and I seem to only recharge it every 8 weeks or so.

Love it… But one niggle
I’m a long term kindle user and love this one - very pleased with the screen size and functionality. I was downloading my collections and there are several books where I get a “this item is not compatible with this device” message - no way around it apparently so incredibly frustrating that I’ve got to access different references on different devices - hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

Love this product
I love paper books and like to take notes at meetings etc but these items take up a lot of space and can be heavy. The Scribe overcomes both issues. The only thing I will replace it for is the colour version when it comes, and it will.

Technology not mature enough
I was really happy to get the Scribe, but, very reluctantly I had to return it, I am using it for research work and some academic publications (pdf) could not display properly, also a few kindle books were not available. The screen is crispier and brighter than similar offerings and overall it's a brilliant idea. Once Amazon produces a colour kindle scribe that can handle large pdfs I am in. However, the technology is not there yet
