Ordered and arrived promptly. Fantastic meat thermometer; comes with 3 meat probes and a temperature grill gate prove. Unit is very easy to use, comes with cable for charging and offers Bluetooth functionality with the app offering a myriad of functionality such as time/temperature settings and automated functionality per meat type. Would buy another in a heartbeat, an essential tool for any cook; the only limitation being that it can’t be used on a rotisserie due to the wires.

After ruining an indoor corded thermometer due to leaving it in the rain by the BBQ I opted for the Bluetooth enabled, waterproof Inkbird IBT-4XC. I am very happy with the purchase. It survived a spot of rain with no problem. It gives what appear to be accurate temp readings (judging from how perfectly the meat came out) and shows the temps for the, up to, 4 probes. I left 1 probe in the chamber and not inserted into the meat to monitor the cooking environment. There appears to be one probe that is not pointy and probably designed for this purpose. The Inkbird IBT-4XC Waterproof Bluetooth BBQ Thermometer temperature graphs are a nice touch but they reset if you alter a setting in the app. Hence why I only have a short record of the temperature progression. I changed the alarm interval for the DISCONNECTION notification and 'boom!', two hours of temp readings disappeared. The temperature graphs also reset after the app restarts (i.e. the process was killed by the OS). There might be an Android system setting I can change to prevent the app from being shut down, potentially due to power saving configuration. Still, I am extremely happy with the device. Minor niggles aside (and possibly resolved with an Android system tweak or not even an issue for Apple users) it does exactly what you need it to do: 1) monitor your cooking temperatures, 2) show graphs of the temperature progression, 3) alert you to joints having reach the desired target temperature. 4) alert you to having moved out of range of the thermometer base unit. A great purchase for BBQ and oven use. Highly recommended. Update Jan 2025: I used the Inkbird IBT-4XC over Christmas several times. Most important of which was an expensive beef Wellington. The recipe from America's Test Kitchen required cooking the beef joint (wrapped in pastry and mushroom duxelle) at a very high temperature for a relatively short time and then removing it from the oven to allow the cooking to continue outside the oven. It was weirdly exciting seeing the temperature continue to rise until it reached the perfect level of doneness. The graph allowed us to predict when it would reach the temp and have everything else ready (more or less). Love this thing!

I've been uing this product for 3 months now and have put it through its paces in that time. Have used it to monitor low and slow smoking sessions of 16 hours+ as well as hot and fast. I've used it on my offset, my bullet smker and my kamado and it's been great on all three. The ambient probe can be a bit slow to come up to temp in comparison to a copule of my other thermometers but it's great once it's up to temp. The bluetooth connectivity is very good and has a decent range, in fact I've found the connectivity to be much more reliable than my meater+ and suffers fewer drops, in fact the only drops I've had are when I accidentally back out of the app or close it. The app is okay and quite easy to use, the only drawbacks being: No way to save historic data for each cook and having to press '+' or '-' to adjust temperature targets rather than being able to type in your temp. Overall, this can't be beat for the money and I've just bought a second one.

So I have waited before writing this review as I wanted to test over prolonged periods as initially I was not sure on the longevity of the batteries etc. First of all I must say I am very impressed and I would buy another and I would recommend it. However, this does have some flaws. 1. If you are using this on your app on your phone and you walk out of range or you go onto another app the device disconnects and the alarm starts bleeping on the device. I get around this buy using it with my ipad now and just leaving it in the kitchen. 2. I had a faulty ambient temp probe after about 6 months where it was reading completely incorrectly, i contacted customer services who got me to perform a test/process to reset the probe which didn't work. However once I advised them of this they did send me a brand new probe out immediately which is working perfect months down the line. 3. The App is good overall but If it disconnects during a long cook then the data for temp rises etc. disappears, i.e. you can't see the chart showing how long it has taken to get between temps. This is a pain if you are doing a low and slow cook and want to gauge a rough idea of how long your cook should take. Even due to the above I am still very impressed for the money, 4 probes (1 ambient, 3 normal) Bluetooth connectivity and a reasonably good customisable app is great for this price point. The built in battery is still as good as when i bought it, and on a charge I will get at least 4 long cooks before I feel the need to charge it. I also love the magnets on the back as well, I stick the unit to the metal frame of my kamado whilst cooking and it keeps it out of the way and they are strong enough that it doesn't slide off. I have used other more expensive options and this is better in my personal opinion. Especially the customer service support. I had a far more expensive wireless probe style device from another large company and when it went wrong they said it had broken due to me using it at too high a temperature and they wouldn't honour the warranty! unreal! Il termometro si presenta ben costruito e compatto. È dotato di 4 sonde e di 2 supporti per montaggio su griglia. Molto pratici gli inserti colorati delle sonde che ne permettono una facile identificazione. Tramite l'app INKBIRD si possono gestire in modo semplice le 4 sonde, monitorare le temp della griglia, del cibo (vari tipi di carne, pesce ecc) e impostare l'allarme raggiungimento temperatura. È dotato di dispaly luminoso e funziona fino ad una distanza di 80mt. Ottimo prodotto ad un prezzo accattivante. Super consigliato!

Ich habe das Thermometer nun schon mehrmals im Einsatz und bin begeistert! Das Gerät macht einen soliden und einfachen Eindruck. Es beinhaltet einen Akku der mit einem herkömmlichen microUSB Netzteil aufgeladen werden kann. Die 4 Temp-Fühler machen ebenfalls einen soliden Eindruck. Die Kabellänge ist ausreichend. Nach dem Aufladen habe ich das Gerät mit der vorgesehenen App verbunden. Ich verwende die App auf dem iPad. Die App ist von der Auflösung her für ein iPhone vorgesehen, funktioniert auf dem iPad aber auch tadellos. Die Einstellungen des Gerätes sowie die Alarme bei verschiedenen Temperaturen und Garzeiten werden ausschließlich über die App vorgenommen. Die App bietet für mich ausreichende Werte für die Überwachung meines Smokers und des Grillgutes, gerade bei extremen Longjobs, wie bspw Pulled Pork. Die Reichweite ist ebenfalls für mich gerade noch ausreichend. Das hängt aber mit meinen baulichen Begebenheiten zusammen. Ich wohne im 1. OG und der Smoker steht etwas weiter weg. Allerdings habe ich in der Wohnung noch ausreichend Empfang. Einmal quer durchs as Haus auf die anderes Seite schafft das Thermometer allerdings nicht, das ist aber der Technologie Bluetooth geschuldet. Im ersten hardcore-Einsatz mit 50 kg Pulled Pork über 20 Std. hat sich das Thermometer hervorragend geschlagen. Der Akku hat super durchgehalten. Die jeweils eingestellten Alarme haben funktioniert. Verbindungsabbrüche zwischen App und Gerät gab es keine. Ich gebe eine absolute Kaufempfehlung. Preis und Leistung sind absolut in Ordnung!

Inkbird war so freundlich mir das Thermometer zum Testen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Die Lieferung enthält den wasserdichten Sender mit Anzeige, drei Fleischsonden, eine Garraumsonde, zwei Klammern sowie ein Micro-USB-Typ C-Ladekabel. Die Verpackung ist einfach gehalten aber zweckmäßig. Der Sender liegt gut in der Hand, sieht für mich sehr gut verarbeitet aus und das orange-schwarze Design gefällt mir sehr gut. Die Zugänge sind mit Gummikappen verschlossen. Auf dem Display prangt der Hinweis, die Stecker richtig einzustecken. Und dem ist auch so. Es reicht nicht, wenn der Stecker am Gummi anliegt, er muss darin verschwinden (siehe Produktfotos). Das Gerät erkennt automatisch, welche Anschlüsse belegt sind und die Anzeige wechselt in einem festen Intervall zwischen den Temperaturen der jeweiligen Sonden. Die Ein-Knopf-Bedienung ist intuitiv und bedarf eigentlich keiner Erklärung. Das ist auch nicht so leicht, denn die Bedienungsanleitung ist in englisch. Inkbird hat mir auf Nachfrage aber eine übersetzte Version als pdf. zugesandt. Eine Funktion kam mir merkwürdig vor, bei zweifachem Druck auf die Taste, kehrt sich die Anzeige um 180° um. Sinnlos, habe ich gedacht, als ich das Themometer aber an der Unterseite meines Portland angebracht habe, fand ich es genial. Der Sender hat Gummiauflagen an der Unterseite und ist magnetisch, daher hält er von alleine am Blech. Die Fühler sind ca. 130 cm lang und können entweder mit den Klammern am Grillrost befestigt oder ins Gargut eingestochen werden. Die Steuerung mit der kostenlos erhältlichen App "BBQ Go" funktioniert einwandfrei und ist nach einer kurzen Eingewöhnung selbsterklärend. Die Bluetooth Verbindung ist sehr stabil und innerhalb meines Hauses nicht abgebrochen (Grill und Sender währenddessen natürlich draußen!). Im Freien war der Empfang bei ungehinderter Sicht erst nach 160 m weg. Ich denke, das kann sich sehen lassen. Bei einem Abbruch der Verbindung wird die Temperatur mit der letzten Steigung/Abfall weiter geschätzt und angezeigt. Somit geht bei schlechtem Empfang zumindest das Gefühl für den Zustand nicht verloren. Zur Wasserdichtigkeit habe ich den Sender mit eingesteckter Sonde für eine Minute unter fließendes Wasser gehalten. Es funktioniert immer noch tadellos und laden lässt es sich auch noch. Den Akku musste ich bis jetzt noch nicht laden, obwohl es mit der anfänglichen Ladung bereits 4 Stunden im Einsatz war. Von mir gibt es auf jeden Fall eine Kaufempfehlung. Es ist hochwertig und funktioniert tadellos, das Design sagt mir zu und der Lieferumfang lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Bei Vergleichen mit der Konkurrenz steht der Preis ganz klar im günstigen Segment.
