I bought these to teach my English language learners beginning sounds. Quite a few cards didn’t support the concept: Xmas tree for X, airplane for A (long sound), ship and sheep are provided for letter S but they begin with a digraph. Also, the queen has boobs and cleavage… not appropriate for school students. The labels on the top lids are bubbled and are lifting. Very low quality. Not the best educational tool…

I was happy with 18 of the 26 cups and word cards. My box was missing a lid for letter Y. 😕 I don’t like airplane as a keyword for Aa. I don’t like earth for Ee. I don’t like ink for Ii. I don’t like orange and onion for Oo. I don’t like sheep or ship for Ss. Letter Xx is probably the worst one. X-ray is okay, but X-mas, xylophone, and Xerus are not good for teaching the sound of Xx. We need words like fox, box, six, maybe exit. I also wish there were at least one more short Uu example like up. Overall it’s an alright product especially for the price. I can find and add my own pictures, but I wish there were some better examples. It’s also annoying my lid is missing. Now I need to decide a different way to store them or find a lid that fits.
