Small but perfect!
Do check the dimensions before buying because this is a tiny, tiny motor. It seems to be well made but the terminals are very tiny and you would need a fine soldering iron if you want to wire it permanently. It runs well and seems to have a lot of torque. Do understand that it runs at 5rpm.I just happen to like motors and so haven't yet found a use for it!Good fun!

Great Little Motor
Motor is great for animating model railway scenics. Its small, powerful and the 5RPM fits well with a lot of things, windmills, water wheels etc. Use a voltage reducer for 12V or 2 AAA batteries.

It will "torque" for itself!
Excellent little motor with a well made gearbox, which provides a surprising amount of torque for such a small unit. Fitted the requirements of my homemade wooden geared automaton perfectly.

Compact and with high torque for size
Ideal for creating own motorised focuser for telescopes. Attached to a helical focuser. Am just working on a way to seal the gear from dew.

Well made and quiet in operation.
The motor and gearing both seem to be well made and are quiet in operation. I'd bought it to fit into an oo gauge windmill I was building and found the length of the shaft just right for fitting onto the sails. At 5rpm the speed is perfect and all in all I'm very pleased with the item.

Quite a strong drive unit and speed as specified.

Beautiful little geared motors
Small, quiet and reliable. I use mine to rotate hanging wire sculptures I make. 5 rpms is quite slow.I attach the motor onto a 2 x AA battery holder w/on off switch and put on a wire loop to hang it and that makes a complete unit!For some I also added a double pole switch to change the motor polarity thereby changing the direction of rotation at will.

Perfect for my project
I used this motor in conjunction with a rotary speed controller for a DIY camera line trolley, works great! Would definitely buy again, maybe in the future I would go for a little bit more revolutions per minute as I can always change the speed with my dial
