Stokyo JP Exclusive colorway! Dr. Suzuki's been getting busy in his Lab to cook up more slipmat innovations for all the tablists out there. The Donuts are his latest creation and make manipulating 45's much easier than any other slipmats out there. These custom slipmats facilitate and enhance scratching and cueing 7"s by making them feel like standard 12"s. It works by placing the Donuts on a standard 12", then the 7" on the Donut and voila! The Donuts grip on to the 12" making it possible to manipulate the 12" and thus rock the 7". Works best with metal 45 adaptors.

Great for working with 7inch vinyl, not for portablist turntables - let me explain
So these are great slipmats. The way they are meant to be used is you have your normal 12inch slipmat, then any 12inch vinyl, then you place this Donuts slipmat on top of the vinyl, then you place your 45 adapter (if needed) and then your 7inch vinyl over all of it. What this slipmat is meant for is to allow you to scratch and manipulate 7inch vinyl by using the 12inch vinyl underneath it. This should NOT be your only slip mat under a 7inch vinyl and using that to try and scratch. The bottom side of it is very grippy and is meant to grip the 12inch vinyl underneath it so that when you move the 12inch, it moves the 7inch on top of it. One of the reviewers here said to get a slipsheet for it. NO! That's not what it's meant for. If you want a 7inch slip mat for your portable turntable or standard turntable, just buy the Dr. Suzuki scratch 7inch slip mat with included slipsheet. You're supposed to use this on top of a 12inch vinyl as it shows in one of the product pictures on this page as well as on the back of the product packaging, which I've included a picture of. I hope that clears things up for a lot of you. It works very well for what it's meant to be used for and it's very high quality. I give it 5 stars!Update 1/5/2020: These are still holding up very well and making scratching my 7inch scratch vinyl a lot easier. I can't recommend these enough if you're a scratch DJ or like to spin 45 records often. Your control over the 7inch will be a lot better from using the 12inch and it's a lot of fun. Still 5 stars all around!! I'll update in a few months to let you know how they are holding up!Update: 2/3/2020 - So they are still holding up very well. I've discovered that you can use the slipmat without using the 12inch vinyl which is really dope. Basically I have a Dr. Suzuki "Skratch" 12 inch slipmat, then I put this slipmat on top of it, then the 7inch vinyl. It works very well and it makes is easier to back cue the vinyl record than it does when using the 12inch vinyl. The Donuts slipmat sticks to the 12inch slipmat pretty well, plus the way it's made it balances out the 7inch better than if it was on the slipmat on its own. You ever put a 7inch on and its kinda wobbly? Like if you press too hard on the side closest to you, it can sometimes pop the needle clear off the vinyl? Well the way The Donuts slipmats are made fixes that issue and keeps the 7inch level. Dope slipmat for sure. Still 5 stars all the way.

Dr Suzuki - Shinichi Suzuki
It's Japanese / STokyo innovation for the portable turntablist. Perfect matches and handcrafted high quality on a 7" - 45 style mat. As the term doughnuts suggest, it is two layers, soft (orange) felt over static free black polyester thin cloth over black foam. They are medium weight and semi thick. If your heavy handed on scratching these are for you. Priced at a higher end but I can see why. Your gonna want to get the 7" slip paper sheets/plastic to go underneath though... (or make some) I have yet to use these but I have done plenty of djing before. I know high quality when I see it. Can't wait to give these a spin on some control vinyl and 45 break records. Thanks Amazon. Thanks Dr Suzuki. You are a Japanese legend for sure.
